American Trenchless Technologies Introduce
For homeowners and businesses throughout Cortland, DeKalb, and the wider Chicagoland area, dealing with sewer and drain problems is often a major headache, typically involving destructive digging that ruins landscaping and driveways. American Trenchless Technologies (ATT) stands out as a specialized contractor and Plumber, offering advanced, minimally invasive solutions that redefine how pipe repair is handled in Illinois.
The company’s primary focus is on Trenchless Technology, which includes methods like Cured In Place Pipelining (CIPP Lining) and Pipe Bursting. This modern approach allows for the repair or replacement of underground sewer and water lines without the extensive excavation traditionally required—a huge benefit for properties with mature trees, expensive landscaping, or concrete structures. By using trenchless methods, ATT aims to provide quicker, more cost-effective, and far less disruptive alternatives to the conventional ‘Dig And Replace’ process, preserving the aesthetic and structural integrity of your property.
The expertise of the team is frequently highlighted by customers. A number of reviews specifically praise the professionalism and knowledge of the servicemen, mentioning individuals like Rafe, Ryan, Kenye, Jackie, Aaron, Walter, and Andy, noting that they were "kind and quick" and "informative and easy to interact with." This strong interpersonal connection and fast-paced work ethic are key to managing stressful plumbing emergencies.
ATT is equipped to handle complex Drain Issues, including those caused by Tree Root Intrusions and aging infrastructure, across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Municipal settings. Their commitment extends to offering 24/7 Emergency Services, recognizing that major problems like Sewage Backing Up or Leaking Pipes do not adhere to business hours. They employ state-of-the-art tools, such as Video Inspection Cameras, Drain Hydrojetting equipment (High Pressure Water Jetter), and sophisticated CIPP lining materials, to provide guaranteed and long-lasting repairs for Chicagoland residents.
However, users should approach any project with clear expectations. While ATT heavily promotes its “No Dig” methods, a past customer review notes that certain situations do require "minimal dig," which is an important, factual clarification. Furthermore, due to the company being "very busy," some projects may take longer than initially estimated, and customers have pointed to a need for improved post-project cleanup and property protection, suggesting that clear communication on site expectations is a necessary conversation for every client to have with the team before work begins.
American Trenchless Technologies is strategically located in Cortland, Illinois, making them well-positioned to serve a wide area, including the communities of DeKalb, Sycamore, Aurora, and the greater Chicagoland region. This centralized location allows for efficient deployment of their specialized equipment and crews to address the complex plumbing and sewer needs of both residential and large-scale commercial/industrial clients.
Their primary contact and location details are:
- Address: 14 S Somonauk Rd, Cortland, IL 60112, USA
- Primary Phone for Scheduling and Free Estimate: (815) 981-3794
- Mobile Phone: +1 815-981-3794
A crucial aspect of their service is accessibility during a crisis. As sewer and drain failures constitute a major emergency for any property owner, American Trenchless Technologies provides 24/7 Emergency Services. This round-the-clock availability ensures that when a severe drain blockage or Sewage Backing Up occurs, help is available immediately, minimizing potential damage to the property.

The commitment of American Trenchless Technologies to modern methods and extensive service coverage provides several compelling advantages for the Illinois client:
- Trenchless Technology Leadership: The core competence is CIPP Lining, which is a state-of-the-art method that installs a new pipe inside the old one, minimizing the need for an extensive Trench Dug through your yard, driveway, or foundation.
- Guaranteed 24/7 Emergency Service: Providing service around the clock is essential for the Chicagoland area, where severe weather can lead to immediate and serious Drain Problems or Sewage Backing Up, ensuring property owners have access to fast help.
- Comprehensive Drain Expertise: They combine advanced diagnostics, like Video Inspection Cameras, with powerful clearing methods, such as Hydro-Jetting, to ensure a thorough and long-lasting fix for any Drain System blockage.
- Broad Market Coverage: ATT services a vast market, ranging from a Residential Home to complex Industrial and Municipal projects, demonstrating a high degree of versatility and technical capability to handle various pipe materials and system sizes.
- Client-Focused Team Interaction: Many clients have praised the individual team members for being "informative," "quick," and "easy going," suggesting a pleasant and effective service experience.
- Free Estimates and Preventative Maintenance: Offering a Free Estimate and services like Preventative Maintenance allows customers to assess their Plumbing Job costs upfront and take proactive steps to avoid future costly Emergency Repairs.
It is important for prospective customers to be mindful of reported variability in project execution. While the technical skill is acknowledged, a review indicated that clean up was "lacking" after both interior and exterior work, leading to concerns about grease, soot, and mud left behind. Furthermore, the high volume of business may occasionally affect project timelines, potentially turning a short-term job into a longer-term commitment. This means that while the technical Plumbing Solutions are innovative, customers should establish explicit expectations regarding site preparation, completion timelines, and a thorough Clean Up protocol before signing the contract for their project.

This modern, minimally invasive approach often translates to a faster project timeline and significantly lower restoration costs, providing substantial long-term value.
The ability to provide 24/7 Emergency Services is invaluable for addressing sudden and severe Drain Problems, offering a guaranteed quick response when it matters most. This deep technical competence is why they are trusted for Residential, Commercial, and Industrial needs alike.
While the company's technical proficiency and dedication to advanced solutions are exceptional, the commitment to thorough site protection and cleanup remains an area where clients must proactively engage. September 23 · Veronica DiehnI just completed a project with ATT. I dealt with Jackie, Aaron, Walter, and Andy. Each of the aforementioned were informative and easy to interact with.On their Web site they advertise as No Dig. However, in my case it was minimal dig. It’s important to note that certain situations do require digging. This company is very busy. This can be a good thing. It can be a bad thing. In my instance it turned what I was told would be a 2 day project into a 10 day project.Last, and most important, American Trenchless does not go out of their way to protect the area around which they are working. Their after project cleanup was lacking as well. We had some overhead pipe replaced in our laundry room. They left grease on the floor, soot on the washing machine/walls, and stained the interior of my slop slink. Soot even made it onto the bar in the area outside my laundry room.As it pertains to the outdoor work, the site was left equally sloppy. When black filling the dig, the dirt ended up on my other bushes, which will ultimately require replacement. Lastly, the driveway was left a muddy mess.I have had many contractors do work on my property. Most often, when they finish, you could never tell they there. Unfortunately, that was not the case in this instance. Given it was a 14 thousand dollar project, I had certain expectations. Those expectations were not met. Now, its time for the cleanup.
November 05 · Jason YukichAndy and Walter were great, even though it was 2° outside they got the job done with smiles on their face. We had an unforeseen issue pop up and they handled it like professionals making sure my lines were properly repaired while keeping me in the loop the entire time.
February 21 · Connell O'BrienSuch a great team!Andy and the guys (Walter and Ryan),did an amazing job!Andy knew everything that was needed and the team worked great together!Cleaned up so it was hard to tell they had been here!We will definitely call them again!
September 04 · AndyS 67I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the unparalleled customer service your company has provided thus far. We had a bad Sewer backup Problem since we bought the house 6 years ago. Contacted American Trenchless and they put a new pipe without digging up my yard. In particular, I want to highlight the outstanding support rendered by Ron. His exceptional professionalism and assurance that he would handle everything put us at ease, and he truly delivered on his promise. Ron's dedication to customer satisfaction exceeded our expectations, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. Moreover, I must commend all the technicians who visited my residence to resolve the issues we encountered. Each technician demonstrated courtesy and professionalism throughout the process. Special recognition goes to Andres Silva and Derrick (apologies if I misremembered his name), whose tireless efforts solely focused on the best interests of the customer.Rest assured, I will enthusiastically recommend your company to all my colleagues in the office and friends within the neighborhood. The level of service and commitment displayed by your team deserves recognition and commendation.Thank you once again for your exemplary service.
