Blue Whale Backflow, Plumbing, & Excavating Introduce
When a plumbing issue strikes your home or business in Illinois, you need more than just a quick fix; you need a professional service that offers responsiveness, deep expertise, and a commitment to solving the problem right the first time. Blue Whale Backflow, Plumbing, & Excavating, located in Batavia, IL, stands out as a full-service plumbing contractor that delivers on all fronts. This locally trusted company, led by owner Ken, has built a reputation throughout the area for providing reliable, efficient, and fairly priced services, whether you’re facing a simple drain clog or a complex sewer line excavation. They are experts in both interior plumbing systems and exterior underground work, making them a single, capable solution for all your residential and commercial plumbing needs.
In Illinois, dealing with water systems, especially in older homes, often involves unique challenges such as sewer line issues, basement waterproofing, and maintaining backflow prevention devices. Blue Whale is not only experienced in these local intricacies but holds the necessary licensing as an IL EPA Cross-Connection Control Device Inspector, specifically certified for RPZ Backflow Devices. This specialized knowledge is critical for ensuring the safety and compliance of your drinking water supply, a service that differentiates them from general contractors. Their dedication to quality is apparent in their prompt response times, even on weekends for emergencies. For example, a customer reported a water heater leak early on a Saturday and had a new unit fully installed and operational within a few hours—a level of service that speaks volumes about their commitment to the community’s urgent needs.
The company's approach is defined by its comprehensive service offerings and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. They leverage advanced tools like hydro-jetting for the most stubborn drain and sewer cleaning, and unlike many competitors, they have in-house Excavating capabilities to handle major sewer and water line repairs that require digging. This eliminates the need for you to hire and coordinate multiple contractors, saving you time and stress during a major repair. Furthermore, the professionalism of the crew is consistently highlighted in customer feedback. Clients note that the technicians, like Ken and his crew, are polite, take great care not to make a mess, and are always willing to patiently explain the issue at hand. This blend of high-level technical skill and personalized customer interaction is a major reason why many Illinois residents consider Blue Whale their permanent, go-to plumbing specialist.
Their service extends beyond emergency repairs into important installation and remodeling work. Whether you are adding a basement bathroom, replacing an outdated water heater with a more energy-efficient model, or simply upgrading kitchen or bathroom fixtures, Blue Whale’s team provides the necessary plumbing expertise. They carry a broad selection of quality products from trusted brands like Bradford White, Zoeller, Champion, and Watts, ensuring that any new installation is built to last. This full-spectrum capability—from a routine faucet repair to a large-scale excavation—positions Blue Whale as an indispensable service provider for homeowners and business operators looking for reliability and convenience across the entire plumbing lifecycle of their property.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've used Blue Whale for several plumbing issues in the past, and I've always had an great experience. The owner (Ken) is very responsive and friendly. Always patient and explains the issues. The work is done right the first time, and they show up when they say the will! Just yesterday (a Saturday), my water heater was leaking. I called early in the morning, and within a couple hours, Tony was out here replacing it. Completely done by 1 pm, and I initially called at about 8:30 am. Amazing, especially for a Saturday! I will only call Blue Whale for my plumbing issues...I have them stored in my phone! Great people to do business with!

April 21 · Jeremy HesselinkKen and crew replaced my old clay sewer line that had major problems in Woodridge. They were very responsive and helpful during the quoting of the job. During the job, they took a lot of steps to preserve my lawn and keep the dig site safe. The new sewer line is great and I am very happy with the work that was performed. Overall, I had a very good experience with Blue Whale Plumbing and Sewer and the work was high quality at a reasonable price.
September 01 · Bob CohoonBEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!I stumbled upon this company because the previous homeowners used them and left the contact info behind when I bought this house. I contacted them to install a toilet and I have to say the professionalism and level of customer service I received was outstanding! They arrived on time, worked quickly to get the toilet installed and best part of all is they did not leave a mess behind. I was impressed with the knowledge the plumber shared about things to do around my home to keep plumbing issues at bay and the price point was great. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family, friends and coworkers. I salute you BWP&S for the level of service you provided me today and putting my mind at ease in this new space of homeownership. Thank you, thank you, thank you Tony & Zion.
May 12 · Uallknowme22Blue Whale Plumbing is a great local option to consider for your plumbing needs. I have used Blue Whale for both an emergency plumbing issue a few years ago and just recently to install a utility sink in my laundry room. On both occasions they were on time and extremely professional/knowledgeable. For the utility sink, I received multiple quotes which were all within $50.00 of each other so Blue Whale’s pricing is very competitive…licensed plumbers aren’t cheap. Also, in my experience(s), their office coordinator was very responsive to calls/emails about the scheduling/quote. Thanks Blue Whale!
