A&P Grease Trappers, Inc., based in Batavia, IL, has established itself as a premier, family-owned and operated "one-stop plumbing, pumping, and recycling solution." With a focus that extends well beyond general plumbing, they provide essential, specialized services that are particularly vital for the food service industry, while also offering critical septic system support and general plumbing solutions for a wide range of customers.
The complexity of modern waste and water management requires a provider who is not only a licensed plumber but also an expert in areas like grease trap services and septic maintenance. A&P Grease Trappers fills this need, combining multiple essential services under one roof. This integrated approach ensures that when a residential or commercial customer faces an issue, they receive a holistic solution—from the initial diagnosis of a clogged drain or a septic system issue to specialized services like hydro jetting and RPZ testing. In an industry where specialized knowledge is key, having a dedicated professional team for everything from routine maintenance to emergency repair offers unparalleled peace of mind to homeowners and restaurant owners alike throughout the Illinois region.
A significant portion of their business is dedicated to serving the commercial food industry, where stringent health and environmental regulations govern the disposal of fats, oils, and grease (FOG). Unmanaged grease traps can lead to severe blockages, expensive fines, and operational downtime. The specialized nature of these services, combined with their general plumbing and septic expertise, positions A&P Grease Trappers as a versatile and indispensable partner for many businesses and residents in the greater Chicago and suburban Illinois areas. Their commitment to professional, efficient, and timely service has garnered positive feedback from a diverse clientele, highlighting their reliability and technical proficiency.
Customers consistently commend the company for their knowledgeable technicians and excellent customer service. For instance, one satisfied customer noted, "I have had great experience with this business from start to finish. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and clearly take pride in the work they do. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally, and I always felt like I was in good hands. It’s refreshing to deal with people who know what they’re doing and genuinely care about delivering great service." This dedication to professionalism is a cornerstone of their operation.
Beyond the specialized pumping and waste management services, the company maintains a strong foundation as a licensed plumbing and sewer service provider. They are equipped to handle a wide range of typical plumbing issues, from simple repairs to more complex sewer line challenges. Their ability to address a complex plumbing problem—like a recurring frozen pipe issue—with a permanent and logical solution, as noted in another customer review, demonstrates a depth of expertise that goes beyond temporary fixes. This multifaceted capability is what makes them a truly valuable resource for property maintenance in Illinois.
Furthermore, their commitment to the environment and to helping the community is evident through services like their Used Cooking Oil Recycling program, which is beneficial for both the environment and the food service businesses they serve. This is part of their broader vision to be a complete solution provider. The ability to integrate maintenance programs, emergency services, and recycling solutions demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to the services they offer.

July 28 · Dawn PhillipsThese folks were prompt and courteous and answered our emergency call when water was pouring through the ceiling of the laundry for the 3rd time. Previous plumbers did not solve the problem of a pipe in the roof for the second floor was freezing under certain conditions,. We had two other fixes. A&P solved it once and for all the most logical and permanent way and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend them 100%!
