Sauk Plains Plumbing & Pumps Inc. Introduce
For decades, residents and businesses throughout Western Dane County and the surrounding Wisconsin communities have relied on expert assistance for their essential water and plumbing needs. Sauk Plains Plumbing & Pumps Inc., based in Cross Plains, WI, has built a legacy of serving the area with a comprehensive range of plumbing and pump services, addressing issues from routine maintenance to emergency repairs for both private wells and standard plumbing systems. In a region where reliable water access and quality are paramount, a service provider that specializes in both general plumbing and the complexities of well and pump systems offers a valuable resource to local homeowners and commercial property managers.
The company emphasizes professional, knowledgeable service across all its offerings, aiming to ensure that your home or business's water systems run efficiently and reliably. They tackle a wide array of residential and commercial projects, ranging from new construction installations and remodeling plumbing to essential repair work that keeps daily life flowing smoothly.
One customer experience highlights the professional aptitude for specialized issues, noting, "DJ came very quickly in response to our water not working at our church. He rapidly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. A capacitor in the power supply of the pump. He was professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He fixed our problem, and we are back in business." This demonstrates the capacity of the team to handle critical, system-specific failures quickly and effectively, which is a major benefit for local property owners. However, another client's experience noted a significant discrepancy between the initial quote and the final invoice, primarily due to uncommunicated travel time charges for out-of-area service, stating they felt "very misled." This suggests that prospective customers, especially those outside of the immediate Cross Plains area, should proactively confirm all potential travel and labor rate charges before authorizing work, ensuring complete clarity on the project's financial scope.
In the Wisconsin region, particularly for properties relying on well water, the dual expertise in both plumbing and pump systems—like that offered by Sauk Plains Plumbing & Pumps Inc.—is a distinct advantage. The integration of these services means homeowners do not need to coordinate between separate contractors for issues that often intersect, such as a drop in water pressure caused by either a plumbing leak or a malfunctioning well pump. This holistic approach can simplify the troubleshooting and repair process, contributing to a quicker resolution for critical problems.

Sauk Plains Plumbing & Pumps Inc. Reviews
Service was great until the end when I received an invoice for almost $1000 higher than what was quoted to me over the phone. I feel very misled as I asked if my house was in an area they serviced still (their stickers were on the mechanicals and I live about 35 minutes from this business), they told me it was, and then found out that they charged me $105 per hour in travel time to and from my house for 2 days which was never mentioned. If I would have known they were going to charge me more than $200(!!) just to drive to my house on top of the work they did, I would have used a different company. On top of that, I kept track of the time the workers were at my house each day and they were there working for approximately 8 hours total between the 2 of them. When I got the invoice, I was charged for 11.75 hours of labor, which included the travel time. The person who did the work also dropped a part and broke it, then caulked it back together and installed it anyway. He said they would be back to replace it but it hasn’t been done and the company sent an invoice for the work.
