Anchor Plumbing Of Wnc, Inc Introduce
For residents across Western North Carolina, maintaining a functional and reliable plumbing system is paramount. When a faucet leaks, a garbage disposal fails, or a water heater gives out, having a local, dependable plumber is essential. Anchor Plumbing of WNC, Inc., located in Swannanoa, NC, positions itself as a service provider addressing these fundamental residential plumbing needs throughout the region, including the greater Asheville area.

Their primary service offerings revolve around repair and installation of key household fixtures and appliances that are vital for daily comfort and sanitation. Their goal is to offer the necessary expertise to restore functionality to your home's water systems quickly and effectively.
However, potential customers in North Carolina should always approach contractor selection with diligence. While the provided information lists a comprehensive set of repair and installation services, external feedback indicates that users should seek full transparency regarding pricing and scheduling before any work begins. Ensuring clear communication upfront is key to a satisfactory service experience with any contractor.
Anchor Plumbing of WNC, Inc. is based in the Swannanoa community, a town located just east of Asheville in Buncombe County. This location places them strategically to serve not only Swannanoa and the Haw Creek area but also the broader Western North Carolina (WNC) region. Their proximity to major routes allows them to dispatch service vehicles to various residential areas within the county for appointments and emergency calls.

For homeowners, service begins when a technician is dispatched to your residence. Given the potential for time-sensitive issues like water leaks or broken appliances, local accessibility from this base is a significant factor in response time for Swannanoa and Asheville residents.

However, prospective clients must also consider the cautionary highlights reflected in customer experiences:
- Pricing Transparency Concerns: Customer accounts suggest a potential lack of upfront, detailed pricing or estimates, leading to unexpected "sticker shock" upon receiving the final bill. Customers should demand a written estimate before any work commences.
- Scheduling and Communication Issues: Reported problems with appointment adherence and failure to communicate delays indicate that customers need to confirm appointments directly and be prepared to follow up on scheduled service times.
- Billing Dispute History: The history of disputes, where customers have questioned the charges relative to the work performed, suggests a need for clients to closely monitor the service time and detailed list of work completed while the technician is on-site.

However, the critical factor for choosing this or any contractor, especially given the documented customer feedback, lies in prioritizing personal consumer protection. Homeowners should choose to engage with Anchor Plumbing of WNC, Inc. only if they commit to the following steps:

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I called anchor plumbing with a water pressure issue. Two men showed up, one walked around my yard while the other spent 5 minutes changing the filter I provided. 5 minutes and I provided the filter. They refused to give me an estimate before or a bill later. These people were referred to me by my realtor as we are new to the area. A couple weeks later, a bill for $535 comes in the mail with all of the things they “checked”. Problem is, I was here with them and my cameras show what they did. Show up for 5 minutes, change my filter, talk for a minute and leave. Be prepared for sticker shock for these guys. I’m happy to pay a standard service call but this practice is shady and has been for years. They were nice but they knew what they were going to do to someone new to the area. It’s sad that you can’t really trust contractors anymore but I wouldn’t trust Anchor Plumbing to do anything for me again!
May 15 · Steven LawrenceI scheduled an appt for 11 a.m. today. 9/17/25. The plan was for Tracey to call bf so hed be clear on our need. No call to say there was a problem. They knew we were coming from an hour away. We went to the appt since it was at a scheduled time. No show at 11:20a.m and no call. I called and was told they had emergency but would be there. At 12 I called and canelled and will not reschedule. My time is as valuable as their's and they have no customer service. I do not recommend Anchour Plumbing of WNC.
September 17 · Marsha WalkerThe plumber arrived on time.He and his vehicle exhibited a professional image. I am relieved not to buy ice any more since he healed my ice maker. The office staff was friendly and efficient in scheduling the appointment.
March 19 · Judith Rozzellas i was heading to work (july 12th), a bald, white man with light facial hair cut me off on the on ramp, i sped up around them to avoid an interaction, and the driver sped up and caught up to us, gesturing with his hands he has a gun, and acted as if he was going to use it over a situation he caused. i proceeded to call the company number on the side of the truck and the lady who answered the phone laughed and acted like it was no big deal. terrible company with terrible morals. if i could give a 0 star review, i would.
July 12 · John CashAnchor plumbing did quite a bit of work for me in two bathrooms, in my kitchen, and worked on my propane lines. I have had 3 major issues.1. The sink in one of the bathrooms smells like sewage when turned on in the mornings.2. They added a studor vent on the guest bathroom. This studor vent has a terrible musty smell which is there during spring, summer, and fall. If they had warned me there was a chance of this, I would have used a different type of vent or put the shower head on the other side in which there was already a vent.3. Shortly after they were done with their work I smelled propane in the house. I called the propane company and they came to investigate. They found three separate leaks on the pipes where Anchor had done their work. (one in the basement, one to the propance oven/stove, and one to the propane logs) This is obviously a safety hazard. I paid the propane company to fix these issues.I found Anchor Plumbing to be less responsive to women. If I needed to speak to them I had to have my husband call if I wanted a response. They all seemed very nice and personable but in the end I'm unhappy with the results.Anchor Plumbing, if you come out and fix these issues for me, I will take down my negative review. Thanks.
