★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My plumber recommended McDonough this morning when I called first thing with an emergency basement drain backup. McDonough immediately set up a same day appointment at my convenience - technician arrived on time, cleared the drain and went over and above to make sure he had left no mess. Fair price - I could not ask for more.
September 13 · Pamela HarrisMcDonough’s customer service was top notch. We had large roots 65’ in our main drain. The technicians spent the better portion of the day using the auger than the water jet to clean the drain completely. They were courteous, respectful of our home, and communicated well. Look no further for a quality service drain company. McDonough’s is the right call. Thank you!
June 26 · Nicholas KrogstadBEWARE. The prices sound fair on the phone, but they did not disclose that your 2 hour service window starts at DISPATCH time, not ARRIVAL time. Can be quite a bit of time depending on where the truck's last job was. And once they have your Credit Card info, there's really no way to dispute it. I should have been told this upfront.I had a jetting service done. Mo, the tech, did a good job on site but did not clear the clog due to a backup further downstream past the septic tank. He wrote up the invoice with the dispatch person on the phone. The invoice included: Dispatch time, Arrival time, Finish time. The total dispatch to finish was 2 hours and 22 minutes. I was charged an extra $140 for 22 min. These extra fees did not add up. When I called to inquire, I was told the dispatch time written on the invoice was incorrect, the Tech made a mistake and the written invoice is really meaningless. The real times are logged on the truck and the Tech's written times were wrong. Throwing your Tech under the bus and implying that he couldn't tell time... not good management. There was about a $80 overcharge they would not refund. I asked if I could get a $80 credit for another job coming up. They said no.I'd go elsewhere.Reply to owner..1. There was no communication of time starting at dispatch. Please reeducate your operator.2. Mo did a good job. It was you who throw him under the bus by not billing according to his written times. Something to the effect of..." we don't go by the times he wrote down"3. I am well aware of why the sewer backed up, which I stated. Not criticizing your work, just the misleading way your company bills.
June 12 · James WangI had a clogged sink drain that broke the head of the drain snake i was using off and Marcus not only got the line cleared but he also managed to get the head of the snake back. He was very friendly and professional.
August 22 · Engineering FNBI scheduled a jetting service and they charges me $697.20, and they marked the problem completed. I still have water in my pipes and no solution. They spent less than 1hr actually jetting and the rest of the time trying to send their camera in my sewer. I did not need a camera service I needed jetting. I had already tried other companies to do camera work and told them this but they went on anyway with it. This was very time consuming and paid a lot of money to get no results. I talked to Dan from this company and he could care less. I understand the material is expensive and offered to pay up to $500, but they declined and will charged me for their full service even though they could not get it cleared. This company does not care about you. Also: "The prices sound fair on the phone, but they did not disclose that your 2 hour service window starts at DISPATCH time, not ARRIVAL time in"In my case that was 30 min until they actually got my my location.
