Bonfe's Plumbing Heating & Air Services Introduce
For homeowners across the Minneapolis-St. Paul Twin Cities Metro Area, managing the essential systems of your property—from reliable plumbing to efficient heating and cooling—is non-negotiable, especially given the dramatic temperature swings Minnesota experiences. Bonfe's Plumbing Heating & Air Services has been a fixture in the local residential service industry since 1993, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions to keep homes comfortable, safe, and fully functional year-round. Operating as a one-stop-shop for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and sewer services, Bonfe aims to simplify home maintenance by consolidating these critical needs under one roof.
The company is committed to providing quick and efficient home service, with a goal of ensuring 100% satisfaction for all customers in the Twin Cities. They emphasize the use of thoroughly vetted and certified professionals, who are trained to provide upfront pricing before any work begins. This commitment to transparency is designed to prevent unexpected charges. Technicians arrive in full uniform, wear shoe covers, and use protective measures to keep work areas clean, which contributes to a professional and respectful service experience for homeowners.
Bonfe's reputation is built on specializing in a full range of residential services, which allows them to perform thousands of service calls annually, addressing everything from a leaky faucet to a complete furnace replacement. This extensive experience translates into deep expertise across various home systems, which is vital when diagnosing complex issues where plumbing, HVAC, or electrical components may interact. They back up their commitment to quality with a strong promise, including an industry-leading Lifetime Warranty on many recommended repairs and installations, offering long-term protection for as long as you live in your home.
However, it is important for potential customers to note that public feedback indicates some concerns regarding the scheduling and pricing aspects of their business model. Some customers have expressed frustration with wide service windows, such as a 7 AM to 7 PM slot, and cancellations that require rescheduling weeks or months out, particularly for routine maintenance services offered under their membership plans. Prospective clients are advised to thoroughly review the terms of any service or membership plans and confirm scheduling availability to ensure it aligns with their expectations for convenience and time management.

What Is Worth Choosing
For Minnesota homeowners seeking a single provider for the full spectrum of their residential mechanical needs—plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and sewer—Bonfe's presents a compelling option due to its extensive service offerings and long-standing presence since 1993. The convenience of calling one number for diverse issues is a significant advantage, particularly during Minnesota’s peak seasons when both heating and cooling systems are heavily relied upon. Their 24/7 emergency service is a critical feature, providing necessary rapid response to urgent problems like burst pipes during a severe cold snap or a failed air conditioner during a heatwave.
The Lifetime Warranty on repairs and installations stands out as a strong commitment to quality, offering assurance that the work performed is durable and reliable for the duration of home ownership. This can translate into considerable long-term savings and peace of mind. Furthermore, the practice of providing upfront, no-surprise pricing is a professional standard that many customers value.
However, potential customers must weigh these benefits against common criticisms often found in customer feedback, which frequently cite issues with scheduling flexibility (e.g., the wide 7 AM to 7 PM service windows) and significant delays when rescheduling routine appointments, especially those covered by the monthly maintenance plans. Some customers also mention that their services can be considered "overpriced" compared to smaller, local competitors. While the multi-system expertise and strong warranties are substantial features, customers are encouraged to clearly articulate their expectations regarding service timing and to carefully review the financial implications and cancellation policies of their optional membership plans to ensure the service model aligns with their home maintenance priorities and budget. Choosing Bonfe is choosing a large, well-established provider with comprehensive offerings and powerful guarantees, but one must also be prepared to manage the scheduling logistics that can accompany such scale.

Bonfe's Plumbing Heating & Air Services Reviews
Bonfe has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I recommend you never sign up for their monthly maintenance membership. I pay monthly for this service for them to come out once a year to check the air conditioner and furnace for free. They were to come out July 12th and their window of service is ridiculous. You have to wait all day for when they call that they are coming. I gave them from 7am to 1 pm and called to see if still coming. The rep said yes they are , no show at 5 pm. So I called back and the rep informed me they can’t make it today! And the next available opening is SEPT 12th.! I demanded a manager to call me. Rep said Alex will call me the next business day. Now it is August and still waiting for the managers to call or email me. I have called the last 4 days straight. Every time the rep says they are in a meeting or out of office. They assure me they will call by next day. Still nothing. I want a credit for my 2025 payments since I have never got them to provide any service . Let me tell you I will be sure to spread the word with the better Business bureau.
August 08 · Bridget SchunemanBonfe is way too over priced. Their arrival slot is ridiculous, 7am to 7pm. Also, don’t get their membership plan. They will schedule you for service and then cancel after you’ve waited all day for them and they’ll say that the next available slot is in 2 months. Don’t waste your money. Instead use a local HVAC company that doesn’t upsell and flake out.
May 13 · JHPaid $100 for someone to come tell me what I already knew - broken sump pump. They looked at it for 30 seconds and spent the majority of the time going over all of their preposterous pricing options. One of the options - OVER 1k means you also have to go purchase a new sump pump yourself. We went to Home Depot and bought a $150 sump pump and a $20 part. We watched one YouTube video and replaced it ourselves. It was hands down the easiest home project we have ever done. It took us 10 minutes (not even exaggerating) and it’s working perfectly!!!! If you don’t have someone to help, I would recommend calling a local shop first or posting on your Nextdoor app for help (someone said they found someone to help and charged them $75). Really disappointed in humanity that they think 2k is actually worth what they are offering. This place sounds like a total scam. I would never call them again or recommend them to anyone. Not to mention their receptionist was also rude to me.
October 18 · Becca LawsonFurnace was working intermittently. They came and took a visual look, standing there with their hands in their pockets, said the furnace was old and gave me an estimate for new equipment, $3000.They never actually diagnosed the problem, I told them to leave.Did a little more digging myself and found out my thermostat was bad. Run to menards, $40 and an hour later furnace was working great. I complained to management and after arguing with them for a bit they finally refunded my $79 diagnostic fee.
January 12 · troy johnsonWe had them come out to replace our hot water heater after ours gave up and started flooding the basement. Repair/replacement was timely, however it failed inspection with the city. We told them, and they said they would have their supervisor call the city. We never heard back so after a few weeks, we called the city, who said they never heard back from Bonfe and nothing was worked out. We told Bonfe, who said they would take care of it. A few months later, here I am again, calling the city asking about the permit to learn that it is still “failed inspection”.
