Becks Plumbing Repair specializes in vital maintenance and repair services, focusing on critical components of a property's water system. Their offerings are geared towards troubleshooting and fixing existing problems rather than new construction or large-scale remodeling projects. Their primary offerings, categorized as essential "Repair services," include:
- Plumbing Leak Detection: Utilizing specialized skills and equipment to accurately locate the source of hidden or elusive water leaks within walls, floors, or underground piping. Effective leak detection is crucial for preventing extensive water damage and mold growth common in North Carolina homes.
- Plumbing Pipe Repair: Expert service in fixing or replacing damaged sections of plumbing pipes. This is often needed for issues like burst pipes, corrosion, or leaks caused by material failure, ensuring the integrity and flow of the property’s water supply.
- Water Heater Repair: Addressing a range of problems with residential and commercial water heaters, including faulty elements, pilot light issues, leaks, and sediment buildup, to restore a reliable supply of hot water to the property.
- Annual Inspection Program (Peace of Mind Program): While focused on repairs, the company also offers a program designed to reduce future issues. This annual agreement includes a thorough inspection of the home plumbing system, testing of emergency shut-off valves, and minor repairs like tightening loose handles to anticipate and prevent major failures.
The specialization in leak detection and repair is particularly beneficial for local North Carolina homeowners, as unresolved leaks can quickly lead to structural and interior damage in the humid climate.

- Inconsistent Communication: Customers have reported a lack of responsiveness, including unreturned phone calls and unfulfilled promises of written quotes, which has led to significant delays and frustration in scheduling necessary repairs. This inconsistency is a major point of consideration for urgent needs.
- Reported Durability Issues with Repairs: At least one customer noted repeated failures of a repaired water pipe, suggesting potential issues with the quality of materials or the long-term effectiveness of certain repairs. Prospective customers are advised to inquire about warranty on parts and labor.

August 29 · fun with edogKim Beck came highly recommended and the initial phone call went alright, he came out a couple days later to assess the situation and what needed to be done. Was told I would receive a written quote that would be texted to me that evening and never did receive that. Two weeks went by without a word, to which I made two followup calls that were never returned. Third phone call was finally returned at 7pm one evening, and he mentioned that he could come out the following morning and take care of the repair, however, that did not fit our schedule as the customer due to last minute notice. So I wanted to pin down a day for the following week, but then that turned into not being able to be done due to “XYandZ.” So I gave up and sent two more text messages to his phone and never received a call back and it’s been 2 more weeks since then. I shouldn’t have to pin someone down to do a job that they would be making money on. Lack of communication from a professional standpoint did not sit well with me and have since moved on to finding someone else.
September 22 · Ashley GarwoodBeck's was actually my second call; PRO Services was who I started with, and I just didn't like the way they handled me, a potential customer. I never got a quote from them and they never even returned my call. Beck's Plumbing was referred to me; I was told "if you want it done right, call Beck's." So, I did. I needed a gas drop for my new dual fuel range (gas top/electric oven). I have to say that I was really shocked at the price quoted, so I took some time to think it over. After all, it had been 20+ years since I last had someone do the work instead of doing it myself. Prices have increased, you know. Kim Beck told me to call around and get prices from others, but I didn't. I ultimately called Daniel, his son, who had been out to look things over and gave me the quote. Daniel came and installed the drop for me and even checked-out my burners to make sure that they were adjusted and operating properly. Exemplary customer service. What more can I say? THE JOB WAS DONE RIGHT. EXCELLENT.
May 26 · Chris YountzAfter potential power outages I called Becks about installing gas logs as a source of back up heat. Becks came highly recommended by Blossman Gas as he was an ex-employee of theirs who went out on his own. After a few weeks from the initial call they came out and gave me a quote on the job. After talking with Daniel, I was glad I waited for him to complete the job as he seemed very knowledgeable. He ordered my logs (I assume) which took a while to come in. After about 4 weeks from the initial call I heard back from Daniel that the logs had arrived and someone would be calling to set the job up. Three weeks later I touched base to see why I hadn’t been contacted. Come to find out they installed my logs at another home because someone needed them immediately and now they can’t get another set for possibly 8 weeks or longer. Daniel tried to make it right by getting a similar set of logs from a local store who he initially talked me out of purchasing logs from saying they sold overpriced logs that are not high quality. He also offered to come on by soon and install the gas line so when he found some logs he would just need to pop them right in however he said he was going to do this after the initial visit and I hadn’t seen him yet. Two months later I’m back to square one. I don’t recommend this company and shame on Blossman for recommending their customers to them.
March 16 · ron belliniI have absolutely been so impressed with the warmth and friendliness of Beck's plumbing, especially Daniel who serviced our home installing our gas logs for us. I can promise you this, I will never use anyone else!
