A M Plumbing Reviews
My pump lost pressure and I hired Adam's company A&M to replace it. I scheduled them a month in advance and called to confirm the night before to make sure they were still coming as I was coming from Chicago to have this done. When they finally showed up 2 days late, the owner Adam, told me that all my plumbing was not to code, so I had a handyman rip out all my walls so A&M could replumb everything for compliance. They came back twice after they had installed the pump and partially finished the rest. 2 months later my walls are still open. A week after the new pump installation, I noticed water leaking all over the floor. I called A&M and they said they didn't have time to come back and then I never heard from them again. I tried texting the owner, calling the office and nothing. I received a $335.00 bill for the pump installation. I called the office and they said Adam would call me. Nothing. I called again and told them I wouldn't pay the bill until they fixed the leak. Nothing. They told me then they had an additional $700.00 bill for some of the other work they had started but never finished. A&M had told me that I was out of compliance for a recently installed well and holding tank which I didn't realize. To redo would cost about $12000.00. They would do it in the Spring. I called to tell them that I wouldn't pay the bill until they came back to fix the pump and do the rest of the work that they agreed to do. They never came back. While the plumbers worked they were asked to remove their dirty boots but didn't. The owner included. My floors are ruined as a result. After all of this, Adam reported me to the DNR. I received a non compliance letter and was given 90 days to redo all of the work. I believe because I challenged their bill and would no longer work with them, that Adam reported me to the DNR. I am working with the DNR and they are sympathetic and aware of A&M's conduct. A&M is a slimy group of snakes. I would never refer them to my worst enemy.
December 17 · Kelly RauchMemorial Day Weekend, (Saturday) my son crashes the UTV into our well pump head and snaps the pipe 6 feet underground! We called A&M and spoke with Adam, he said he would come out and he was there within the hour. My son and I had already dug up the pipe so he was able to see the damage. He left to go and get a helper and the material we needed and returned promptly. We worked together until 11PM and got the well back up and running!Thank You Adam for all your help! I could not have done it without you and thanks to you I was able to take a shower and after hours of digging,,, I needed one! Thanks again!
May 27 · Todd ErnestDidnt finish the job, still charged us for the unfinished work, would not reccomend.Ontop of this, he also rents lots out for trailer homes. I own my trailer just rent the lot it sits on, we recently moved out and have been removing items from the trailer to get it ready to sell. I caught the owner of the trailer park and owner of A&M plumbing, Adam Thompson, breaking into my house and changing my locks. I am talking to my lawyer about pressing charges for breaking & entering and theft as he also took items out of my trailer. Do not trust Adam Thompson he doesn't do his job and he thinks hes above the law. I'll see you in court Adam :)
January 07 · Smiley HippieWe had scheduled a plumber for a house inspection (a house we had an accepted offer on) 1 week in advance. On the day in question, the plumber did not show up. We called him soon after the scheduled appointment time and they said someone was on the way. When the plumber (named Adam) arrived (an hour and a half later), he was actually incredibly cranky. He walked in and said "What am I doing here?". I am not a plumber--how do I know all of what you are supposed to do during a house inspection? He was unpleasant the whole time he was there--even commenting on why we didn't know where the well or septic was (the realtor didn't tell us and was having a hard time reaching the buyer about it, apparently). Never met someone in the business industry with so little customer service or social skills. Will not recommend or use again.
February 04 · Rachel BCalled them on 09/27/18 and they said they would send someone out to fix plumbing problem. No one ever showed up or called to say they weren’t coming. For some reason called them again today, 10/2/18; owner said he would probably come right away but he would call me back in a minute. Never called back and didn’t come again again.
