What is Worth Choosing WaterWork Plumbing
Choosing a plumber in Michigan often comes down to trust, reliability, and speed—especially given the potential for water damage in residential and commercial properties. WaterWork Plumbing is worth choosing for several compelling reasons that resonate with local users.
First, their deep experience in the field since 2006, combined with their Licensed Master Plumber status, ensures expertise. They are equipped with the latest technology for diagnostics, such as video drain cameras and powerful hydro-jetting equipment, meaning they aim to find the root cause of the problem and fix it permanently, not just apply a temporary "Band-Aid."
Second, the 24/7 emergency service capability is a non-negotiable for many Michigan homeowners. Plumbing problems don’t keep a 9-to-5 schedule, and the ability to get a technician dispatched for an urgent issue like a basement flood or a major leak at any hour is a service that proves their commitment to the community. They often offer same-day service for non-emergencies as well.
Finally, as a local company with strong roots in Ferndale and the surrounding Metro Detroit communities, they strive to deliver value. While pricing is always a factor, customers frequently highlight the professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge of the technicians, like Eugene mentioned in a testimonial, and the helpfulness of the office staff. For local Michigan residents seeking experienced professionals for everything from the smallest faucet repair to the largest sewer job, WaterWork Plumbing provides a reliable and comprehensive solution.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This company is GREAT! I called for service and they sent Eugene out within an hour. He is fantastic! Explained everything and did a fantastic job! You won't find nicer, honest & helpful people. The staff in the office is also very kind and helpful!GREAT JOB BY ALL !!!!
August 12 · Kris JonesCustomer service representatives on the phone are not making sure techs have all the information needed before dispatching them. I requested an Gas line for stove update because Costco delivered a brand new stove and valve was not functioning properly for them to install and the new stove (while Costco supervisor and staff was here we called Waterworks to obtain services so they could leave the delivery it was agreed to send a plumber with a dolly to remove old stove after valve replacement) however communication about how much different the new shutoff valve was not communicated before job was complete. The end result my stove is standing 1.5 inch off the wall which was not the issue with my last stove. So I called back because this affects the clearance to walk thru the kitchen and the distance between the stove and refrigerator. I requested that the pipe installed be shortened so I can move the stove back and I was told the cost would be more to do so. Not satisfactory at all. I have had other work done to my satisfaction but this job was a waste of my money. I wish he would have told me that this was going to be a problem before he started. Paid $527 for 1.5 hours of work. When I was told it’s $177. Per hour. I also requested if the plumber could put the old stove at the curb and I was inconvenienced because he forgot it and had to drive back to get a dolly for 45 minutes. Exhausting experience and they sent the same staffer that did the original job back to fix the problem his solution was to charge me more money to fix what was not done right the first time. No thank you, I have spent nearly $1000 on plumbing work with this company this week with and I had higher expectations. Communication is key with the customer service who dispatch , plumber and customer their own as several breakdowns throughout this process which resulted in an unexpected conclusion. So disappointed ☹️
September 04 · Crystal BoothRecommended by our HVAC contractor. They have been professional , on time and on budget every time we've needed them. Service calls have been easy to schedule, and prices reasonable. Each of the plumbers have always been friendly and capable. Would recommend to anyone.
May 09 · Bradley SteelVery disappointed in the experience this morning. I personally have used your company’s excellent services and customer care service for a long time. I live right down the street, so when my brother’s home needed a toilet replacement ( which we bought one) or have it repaired, we called WaterWorks! We were told the rate was $49 for the first 30 minutes and then $99 an hour afterwards.I started my timer as soon as Cullen pulled the truck up and got out. We went in the house to tackle the problem. I showed him the box with the new toilet in it if we needed to put one in. I was trying to save money for my brother, as he was still driving in from where he lives. So I showed the technician the inside of the toilet and what work my brother had done before we called. He installed a KISSLER Fill Valve: Mansfield, Plastic, and a handle with a long metal arm and nut to tighten.I talked to the tech and said we need to save some money on this do what you can to do that. He said he thought the handle was the problem, that he had the same KISSLER Fill Valve: Mansfield, Plastic on his toilet, but he doesn’t have one now and had to go back to the shop to get it. I told him that is a brand new one. So he said I have to get a new handle for the toilet, I need a plastic handle. I asked if the clock is still running on this? ? He said yes, I don’t make the rules, it’s only a few blocks away, I’ll be back in just a few. I let him know I wouldn’t charge a customer for driving time to do that, you should have that part in your truck. It’s a basic thing. Anyway, he did his thing and I let the clock run too. It didn’t take long. The next thing you know, after a little bit of struggling with getting the handle on and having to take apart the Fill Valve, he got it together. Then he put some water in the tank and flushed it down and adjusted the tension of the handle nut. When he was all finished, my timer was at 42 minutes. Then the problem began. What to charge? Who’s going to pay and how??Cullen said at first a figure in the $180 or $190 range I believe and I said no way, I had 42 minutes, I had called my brother on the phone as we went down the stairs and he got in the truck to write up the charges.. he then came up with $175.41 I was going to write a check and I had quickly walked 3 houses away to my place to get my check book. I let him know I wasn’t very happy with the charges.$175.41 for a toilet handle to be installed!!!I’ve never been so ticked off as then, but I kept my cool. I even grabbed a water bottle for Cullen to drink after doing the job!My point is this. I feel you overcharged my brother for services rendered.. I would appreciate some money coming back to him, so that he may call you again himself for any other service in the future.I am upset and made to look bad for wasting his money on poor service. Yes, the problem is gone today, but, at what cost?? You just may have lost two or more customers on my block. I was the first house on the block, I believe, that started using your service years ago. My brother and I have owned property for almost 40 years on this street. Do the right thing and think of this from our point of view.Sincerely, Gerald Longe
September 17 · Gerald LongeI've called Waterwork 8-10 times since moving to the area. They've conducted sewer line scopes and sewer line cleaning, fixed a leaky bathtub pipe, installed a backup sump and reverse osmosis system, etc. Service has typically been great, with good results and thorough explanation of the problem and/or work to be done.Expectedly, quality of service can be dependent on the particular technician. I recently had an unsatisfactory experience with a technician who didn't perform much inspection, fully address the issues, or explain anything. However, I contacted Waterwork with my concerns and they quickly sent out a different technician for a second look without an additional charge. My experience with the second technician was much better and aligned with my expectations based on past service calls.
