To schedule a service appointment, request an estimate, or inquire about emergency drain or septic system needs, customers can use the following information:
The availability of both a main and mobile number can be beneficial for customers seeking quick contact, particularly during urgent plumbing and drain emergencies.
Choosing the right drain and septic service provider is an important decision for any Minnesota property owner, and Velocity Drain Services presents several compelling reasons for local customers to choose them for their plumbing needs.
First, their highly specialized service model is a significant advantage. By focusing intensely on drain cleaning, sewer lines, and septic systems, they are likely to possess a greater depth of knowledge and more specialized equipment than a general plumbing contractor. For severe or recurring clogs, or when the use of advanced tools like hydro jetting and camera inspections is necessary, this specialization can mean the difference between a temporary fix and a long-lasting resolution.
The company has received positive feedback highlighting several key strengths. Customers have praised the knowledgeable and friendly nature of their technicians, noting that staff like Ryan and Kyle were helpful, accommodating, and took the time to explain the process and detail findings. For services like complex line inspections, having a technician who clearly communicates the issue and proposed solution is invaluable. Furthermore, some reviews indicate that the company has a reputation for being fast to respond, which is critical for unexpected drain backups or frozen pipes in the harsh Minnesota winter. One customer specifically noted a very fast response time during an emergency with a frozen main line to their septic system, a common and stressful issue in the Central MN region. This quick emergency service capability is a major selling point.
Another point of distinction, according to some positive reviews, is their competitive and transparent pricing, with one customer claiming Velocity Drain Services offered the cheapest quote out of five different companies and even provided a discount on a second service. While it is always advisable to discuss the exact pricing structure and potential fees upfront to avoid confusion, the reports of affordable rates and being upfront about the service are strong indicators of good value. The availability of online estimates and acceptance of credit cards also adds a layer of modern convenience to the service transaction.
However, potential customers should also be aware of the varied customer experiences, which is typical for any service company. One review detailed a frustrating experience regarding a complicated fee structure, including a “Service Call” fee and a “Convenience Fee,” and dissatisfaction with the quality of the video footage from a drain scope. This highlights the importance of asking for a clear, written, itemized quote before any work begins, especially when the service is diagnostic like a camera inspection, to ensure all parties agree on the hourly rate, call-out fees, and any charges for materials or convenience. It also serves as a reminder to inquire about the specifics of any video or documentation provided, to ensure it meets your expectations for quality.
In summary, for residents and businesses in St. Michael and the greater Twin Cities area looking for specialized drain and septic system expertise, Velocity Drain Services offers a powerful combination of advanced technology, on-site service convenience, and a demonstrated ability to respond quickly to critical plumbing emergencies, especially those involving freezing. By leveraging their specialized tools for diagnosis and powerful cleaning, they are well-equipped to tackle both routine and complex drain and septic system needs. Potential clients are encouraged to utilize the available contact methods to discuss their specific needs and confirm all service and fee details ahead of time for the best possible experience. Their local presence and specialized focus make them a strong contender for anyone facing serious drain or septic system issues in Central Minnesota.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Contacted Velocity to have a residential sump line inspected. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. Ryan helped me schedule the appointment and went above and beyond to explain the process and accommodate my schedule. Kyle the tech they sent out was super knowledgeable and explained everything in detail and was one of the nicest people I’ve met.
September 09 · CJ LetvinAVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!!!I spoke with Madeline prior to technicians coming out to my house and she told me it would be $235/hour. I received the invoice and it was $375 because they add on a ton of random fees.My fees included:“$10.00 Expense” - No idea what this is.“$85.00 Service Call” - They drove 15 minutes to come from Elk River to St Michael. I don’t know how that quantifies an $85 fee.“$35.00 Parts and Materials” - I want to be clear the plumbers did not fix ANYTHING. We did a drain scope.“$11.00 3% Convenience Fee” - What even is this? Also, the plumbers only spent 30 minutes scoping the drain. They charged me an entire hours worth of work ($235) because they spent an additional 30 minutes writing up the invoice and vaping on my front steps. (yep.. I have it on my security cameras). The video quality of the drain scope was horrible as well. I wanted to forward this video to other plumbing companies for multiple opinions prior to excavation but unfortunately the quality is too poor.My husband called Madeline and she removed the $35 fee but we still feel jaded by the entire experience. Take your money elsewhere.
July 28 · CarlyUnfortunately, I will never use this company again. I called to get a breakdown of what costs would be before having someone sent out. I was quoted an $85 service fee, $155 per hour labor, and $10 incidentals. Kyle was able to clear the drain in just under an hour but charged my wife for 1.5 hours of labor ($328 total, versus the $250 I would have anticipated). I called to get clarification when Madelyn (who gave me the initial quote) said the extra half hour was for drive time. What's the $85 for then? Getting to the location is NOT labor. She said I would have to talk to the manager (who wasn't in) to get a resolution. I called in yesterday and asked for the manager. Madelyn seemed to think about whether or not they were in when she asked who was calling. Once I said who I was, she quickly said he wasn't in and asked if I'd like a call back. I said I absolutely would. I'm writing this a day and half past that call and I haven't received a call back. I'm assuming I'm being avoided even though I've been perfectly polite but disappointed in how I was quoted and billed. I hope the extra $70+ was worth losing a customer along with any others that think twice after reading/hearing my story. I'm happy the drain got cleared as I was unable to get this one myself, but I'm tired of the money grab that some people feel entitled to.
June 11 · Curt MichenerWas recommended by another septic company to have Velocity come out and diagnose an issue. Such a waste of time and money! They didn’t do anything. Apparently their plumbing cameras don’t turn corners when scoping a septic system. There was no service, just paid for the guy to show up. As he made clear. What a scam! The referral source was dissatisfied as well.
July 01 · Kayla SmithBill and Amy have built a top notch company, highly recommend them. I have used them several times at 2 separate commercial properties. Taylor and his team were out today and did a thorough and professional job. Keep up the great work!!
