As a local business operating in the Kentucky region, Kuhnhein Plumbing emphasizes certain features to distinguish its service from larger competitors. These reported highlights are designed to appeal directly to the needs of the local Kentucky homeowner:
- Emergency Services Offered: Recognizing that plumbing failures do not adhere to business hours, the company reportedly offers emergency plumbing services, providing a crucial resource for urgent, after-hours problems like burst pipes or severe clogs. An extra charge for after-hours service is reported.
- Owner-Operated Business Model: The business is owner-operated, which can mean more personalized service, direct accountability, and consistent quality control from the top down.

For Kentucky residents, particularly those in the Fort Thomas and greater Northern Kentucky area, the decision of which plumber to choose is often based on reliability, speed, and cost. Kuhnhein Plumbing presents itself as a fixture in the local plumbing landscape, offering a service model built on direct experience and local focus. What makes this service potentially appealing is the combination of reported deep experience (32 years) and the promise of transparent, job-based pricing without initial service or travel charges. This fee structure makes the barrier to calling them for an assessment low.
However, potential customers should always perform due diligence, a practice which is especially important for local service providers. While the long tenure and emergency service availability are significant benefits, customers should be aware of specific concerns raised in public reviews. It has been reported in customer feedback that there are issues regarding professionalism and licensing. One review specifically noted a negative experience with driver conduct and customer interaction, while another alleged the contractor was unlicensed for plumbing work and displayed unprofessional behavior when a payment dispute arose over extra work (filling a hole).
When selecting any service provider in Kentucky, it is strongly recommended that homeowners independently verify the current licensing and insurance status of the plumber through the appropriate state or local authorities, such as the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction, to ensure full compliance and protection. Choosing a local plumber with decades of reported experience and emergency availability can be a powerful asset when disaster strikes, but this should always be balanced with an assessment of recent customer experiences and a confirmation of professional credentials before committing to major work. The fact that the company reports offering repair services and has been a part of the local business community for a significant time may indicate a strong base of repeat customers, but verifying their current status is the safest course of action for any Kentucky homeowner.
Ultimately, Kuhnhein Plumbing offers a dedicated local option for residential plumbing repair and drain cleaning, supported by a long operating history and the critical feature of emergency service availability for unexpected needs in Fort Thomas and Northern Kentucky.

Kuhnhein Plumbing Reviews
Whoever was driving the car for this company is extremely unsafe. Riding extremely close to us, nearly hitting us while we have a baby in the car. He sped around us and flipped us off very rudely. We tried to call the company and tell them what happened and he answered to ask phone and tried to say that it was our fault, even though he was the one who almost hit us (with a baby in the car!!) and flipped us off. Very rude and unsafe.
March 28 · Hannah HolmanHad a water leak in my foundation wall. I dug it out and then called Kuhnhein. Charged $900 to fix it. My mother paid him as he was finishing up. He stopped right there and said it would be another $300 to fill the hole in because he just went to the chiropractor. When my mother confronted him about it he got defensive and rude and told my 65 year old mother to fill it in. Which she had to do. Do not hire this company. Not only is he rude and unproffessional but he is unlicensed for plumbing work. Also he lied to the home warranty people about where the leak was. So now we're are having to jump through hoops to get the money back. Hopefully this will save someone else from this headache.
September 17 · Josh ReynoldsWhere do I begin.... This guy showed up a week later than he was supposed to, and it was unannounced. He then began repairing a leaky pipe and decided that it was a good idea to use two of my own personal buckets that were in my garage space and one of my towels to clean up his mess. Not only did use my own property, but he didn't even have the to courage to clean out MY buckets, or even let me know that he was using them (even leaving a note would have been better than nothing). on top of that, he left behind sharp chunks of metal that could have easily punctured my vehicles tire, or even someones foot. The one bucket had an inch of black gunk and pieces of metal and the other was ruined by mixing concrete in it. Needless to say, my property was ruined by this fool and he left without a care given. But hey, at least the pipe was repaired..........
January 10 · Alex KennedyI called this morning and my problem was resolved by 3 pm. I was really impressed with the efficiency and courtesy of the gentleman who came to my home. He said he can’t always get to a call so quickly, but I’m really glad he could. And I love the motto on the truck...”shit a is going down!”
July 17 · Maryanne DuchinI called him and explained that I had rented a plumbing auger. I wasn’t having much luck. Times are tight, I’m pretty handy, figured, why not try. After explaining, he asked for my name and location, THEN proceeded to tell me, I don’t mess with things other people started and hung up the phone... I get it, but, that was rude...
