Gorsuch Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning Introduce
For California homeowners and business managers, especially those in the greater Long Beach and Signal Hill area, maintaining essential property systems—plumbing, heating, and air conditioning—requires a reliable and versatile service partner. Gorsuch Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning offers a comprehensive solution by specializing in all three critical areas. As a combined plumbing, air conditioning contractor, air conditioning repair service, and heating contractor, this firm is equipped to handle the full spectrum of climate control and water system needs for residential and commercial properties.
Operating out of Signal Hill, Gorsuch Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning brings decades of experience to the table, with some sources indicating over 86 years in the business, which speaks volumes about their historical presence and deep roots within the Southern California community. This extensive experience is crucial in an area like California, where contractors must be proficient with diverse property types, from historic homes with aging pipe systems to modern commercial facilities requiring specialized HVAC maintenance. Their commitment is to provide both new system installations and essential repair services, ensuring that properties remain functional, safe, and comfortable year-round.
The necessity of a combined service provider cannot be overstated. When a property faces an issue—for example, a malfunctioning water heater that affects both the plumbing system and the home's hot water supply, or an air conditioning unit that is leaking and causing water damage—having a single company capable of addressing the entire problem, from the refrigerant lines to the drain pan to the resulting pipe repair, streamlines the repair process. This integrated approach saves California property owners the time and stress of coordinating multiple specialty contractors.
Gorsuch Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning clearly positions itself as a partner for both minor service calls and major infrastructure projects. Their scope includes routine plumbing repairs alongside the installation of new plumbing, heating, or air conditioning systems. This flexibility allows them to assist customers regardless of whether they are facing a simple clogged drain or undertaking a complete home remodel that requires significant system replacement. The company aims to simplify the process of system maintenance and upgrades for local users, accepting credit cards for payment convenience.
As with any service provider, the customer experience can vary. While Gorsuch Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning has received positive feedback for helpful technicians like Xavier and Leo, who have effectively resolved issues for customers, there have been instances that highlight potential challenges in communication and quality control, particularly concerning after-hours response and ensuring a complete, leak-free repair on the first visit. One customer review noted a situation involving multiple appointments for a kitchen sink and a subsequent leak, along with a noted difficulty in securing an after-hours technician to correct the issue they caused. However, it is also noted that the company demonstrated good business practice by waiving a fee for a subsequent repair attempt, indicating a willingness to address customer complaints.
The company’s ability to cover a wide service area within Southern California is a significant benefit. For residents in Signal Hill, Long Beach, and surrounding areas, they offer local expertise blended with a broad service capacity. This is particularly important for heating and air conditioning services, which are vital for adapting to California’s climate swings. While the heating season is often milder than in other states, effective heating is still necessary, and the demand for high-performance, efficient air conditioning during the long cooling season is constant. Gorsuch’s classification as an air conditioning contractor and repair service means they are central to keeping Californians cool during the summer months.
The scope of their work is designed to meet the fundamental needs of any property. From a Service Call to a New Setup, their listed offerings cover the basic requirements for a functioning home or business infrastructure. The residential and commercial classifications show their capability to operate in different regulatory and physical environments, addressing the specific demands of each property type—be it a small family residence or a large corporate unit in need of specialized HVAC maintenance. Furthermore, the inclusion of "Locksmith Services" is an unusual, value-added offering that expands the scope of property maintenance they can cover, moving beyond traditional mechanical services to include physical security considerations.
In summary, Gorsuch Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning presents itself as a historical, multi-service contractor in the Signal Hill and Long Beach area of California. Their long history suggests a deep understanding of local infrastructure needs, and their combined services simplify property maintenance. While customers should be mindful of the importance of clear communication, especially during after-hours emergency situations, the firm’s commitment to resolution and their technicians' positive service interactions are points of strength that local users can rely on.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1FIND A NEW PLUMBER - THEY CAME OUT TWO TIMES TO MY HOUSE, CAUSED MORE PROBLEMS, AND NOW WON'T SEND OUT AN AFTER HOURS REPAIR TECH TO FIX THE PROBLEM THEY CAUSED. WILL CALL THEM FIRST THING MONDAY MORNINGI had Gorsuch plumbing come out to fix my kitchen sink because it wasn't draining correctly. The first plumber they sent out said he was unable to fix it claiming it needed to be hydrojetted - he said he did not have the tool and would need to come back tomorrow. The second plumber came back the next day and worked on the sink for an hour and a half. He said that he did not not to use the hydrojet and that the other technician was wrong. They tried to charge me with two different appointments but I complained and they waived the fee on the second - that's good business practice to me.It's now been three days since the second plumber has been to my house and the sink started leaking. The second plumber did not adequately test to make sure he put back the pipes correctly and that they didn't leak.Instead of replacing or resealing the plastic drain pipe from the garbage disposal to the pipe it is now leaking everywhere.I called Gorsuch to have them send an afterhours technician to fix the problem. I called Friday night and they said they would call me back and never did. I called this morning on Saturday and they said they would call me back and still haven't.
August 17 · Eric WalshEveryone I have dealt, on the phone or in person, has been great. Xavier and Leo have both been very helpful the times they have come to our condo to fix something.
August 17 · Jeremy DuganI called and spoke to the person who schedules their service calls. After her taking my information, she immediately asked for a credit card number to ensure payment. I had no problem with that, except I was not informed what the cost of the service call would be. So before providing her with my credit card information , I asked what it would cost . Her response was that the service call would be $160.00 for the 1st hour and $55.00 for every half hour after. I was okay with it and provided her with the information she had requested. She gave me an ETA for when the technician would be arriving and the call ended.I received a call from my wife at 1:30 pm to inform me that she had just buzzed someone into our building and thought it was the plumber. Sure enough, it was. The technician name is Leo, and before going forward with anything else,I want to say that Leo was very professional and very polite. Leo was quick and clean in doing his work. I was impressed with how quickly he worked to complete the task at hand. When Leo arrived he asked me what the problem was. I explained that wasn't getting any water pressure from my kitchen faucet . I then asked if it was possible for him to install a new faucet while he was here? I followed up with asking how long he estimated it would take? Leo replied with " Oh, about an hour and a half" Leo's response, I thought was, fair so I said okay. As I said before Leo was fast and was done quickly. To be precise, he was done at 2:22pm. This includes reinstalling a rolling rack that was under my sink and doing clean-up. Then, he pulled his phone out and was looking at something, looked up and apologized for not having an invoice. Leo mentioned that he had to stop by his office and forgot the invoice but that I would be billed for one and half hours. I was a bit confused since Leo was in my house for less than an hour. I asked Leo why I was being billed the hour and a half. Leo's response was that they start billing you from when they leave the other job. I was not sure why this would be correct and told him I would call his office to ask for clarification on why I was being charged for essentially another $55? I called the office and asked the person who answered the phone to put me touch with whoever I could ask about my invoice. The person asked what my question was? I explained that I did not understand why I was being charged for the hour and half when the technician was here for less than an hour. This is where they problem starts. The person became combative, not hearing what I was asking. He first said well do you feel you have been treated unfairly?" Which had nothing to do with what I had asked. I again tried to explain that I was just trying to understand the reasons for this. He interrupted me. "So what exactly was? done" I informed him of the work Leo had completed. His answer was, " You should feel lucky that you had a good technician who finished in less time than what was quote. You know! Anyone else would have taken at lease two hours" I again tried to ask for an answer to my question but he proceeded to tell me that there are other factors that happen before the technician actually arrives to the location and that clean up time and putting his tools away also factors into the time. He then asks where I lived. After telling him, he proceeded to use parking as another reason for the possible charges. "Because you know LB" and how difficult parking can be.The person on the phone then introduced himself as the owner. So after my many attempts to try to get a reasonable reply to my question and getting frustrated, told him I did not understand. I just asking for clarification, and that was all ! Matthew has no business talking to customers. He was quick to assume and didn't bother to listen. When paying a premium for your services, I would think customer service would be his first priority! That is obviously not the case!
December 02 · jorge gonzalezUnprofessional and dangerous drivers! Almost ran me off the road in the pouring rain when they cut into my lane! You can see their truck in the photo as they're speeding so fast through the surface streets of Long Beach. That's a hydroplane waiting to happen. I don't appreciate businesses that endanger the lives of the communities they're supposed to be serving.
