Gibbs Plumbing & Drain Introduce
For residents and business owners throughout Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties in Michigan, finding a reliable, experienced, and trustworthy plumber is crucial for maintaining the integrity and functionality of their property. Plumbing systems in the Metro Detroit area face unique challenges, from aging infrastructure in established neighborhoods to the need for robust sump pump systems to handle high water tables, especially near waterways like the Clinton River. Gibbs Plumbing & Drain, based in Sterling Heights, MI, steps forward as a long-standing local professional, offering a full suite of plumbing and drain services for both residential and commercial clients.
The company emphasizes its extensive experience, stating they have been proudly serving the tri-county area—Macomb, Wayne, and Oakland—for over 25 years. This deep local knowledge is a significant advantage, as technicians are familiar with the specific types of plumbing issues common to Michigan homes, whether they are minor faucet leaks or major sewer main mishaps. As a full-service professional plumbing provider, Gibbs Plumbing & Drain positions itself as a comprehensive resource, capable of addressing virtually "Any Plumbing Job," from small repairs to large-scale installations and renovations. This broad capability, combined with a commitment to both residential and commercial service, makes them a versatile choice for the community.
Customer feedback highlights the qualities most valued by Michigan homeowners: professionalism, attention to detail, and fair pricing. One reviewer was "Totally impressed with the professionalism and the attention to detail Mr. Gibbs brings to the job," noting fair pricing for replacing a faucet and fixing under-sink plumbing. Another client praised the plumber for being "great," providing an "accurate quote over the phone," and showing up "promptly the next day" to get the job done right. This consistent positive sentiment around promptness, professional execution, and honest quoting over the phone suggests a commitment to customer satisfaction and transparent business practices.
However, as with any long-standing local business, customers should perform standard due diligence. While the company claims to be "fully licensed and insured," verification of their current Michigan Master Plumber and Plumbing Contractor licenses through the state's Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) department is always recommended to ensure compliance and consumer protection. Furthermore, public data from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) indicates that a profile under "Gibbs Plumbing" in Detroit, MI, which serves Wayne County, noted a "Failure to respond to 1 complaint(s) filed against business." While this may not be directly tied to the Sterling Heights location or the 'Drain' service, local users should be aware of this historical rating detail and ensure transparent communication is established before beginning any work.
Given the wide-ranging service list, Gibbs Plumbing & Drain appears well-equipped to handle the full spectrum of plumbing needs faced by Michigan properties, particularly those requiring immediate attention, as they explicitly offer 24/7 Emergency Service. This around-the-clock availability is a critical feature for any local plumber in an area susceptible to burst pipes and basement flooding.
Gibbs Plumbing & Drain operates from a physical address that places them centrally within one of Metro Detroit's most populous regions, Sterling Heights. Their service model, which includes "Onsite services," means the technician comes directly to the customer's home or business, bringing the plumbing expertise right where it is needed. The local base of operations helps to reduce travel time, a factor that is especially valuable during Michigan's harsh winters when frozen pipes or water main breaks demand immediate attention.
The company explicitly serves a large, multi-county service area, showing their commitment to being a trusted resource throughout Southeast Michigan, where local relationships and a reputation for dependability are highly valued.

September 19 · Curt LovedayTim was awesome. From the first call he was here within 30 minutes. Once he arrived, he assessed the problem and was 100% correct in his diagnosis. He tried the quick fix but also said he’s pretty sure the machine will be needed. Sure enough, he was correct. Pulled the machine in and was able to fix the drain. From my first call to fixed was all done within the hour. Great up front pricing and very reasonable. Very pleased to have met Tim!
January 26 · Andrew HaleI needed a new water heater installed and Gibbs Plumbing was quick to provide a quote, very responsive and they were the best price! When Tim was installing my water heater, he also provided a quote to replace my broken brass two handle laundry faucet. He had the faucet on the truck and was able to replace it right after he finished the water heater. I will definitely use Gibbs Plumbing for any future plumbing issues. Great job, great value and great price.
October 15 · Brad WalkerWe were super impressed by Tim, from Gibbs Plumbing & Drain. Our basement flooded for the first time.
