★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had an appointment scheduled for 2:00pm. Received a call at 3:55 pm to tell us we need reschedule or pay $250.00 an hour overtime that would be added to our already high bill. I do not understand why if you are already scheduled it would be the customers responsibility to pay the overtime. Understand the technician do not know what they are getting into with each job. But it should not be the customers problem or responsibility to pay overtime when already scheduled over a week prior.
September 25 · Melissa AndersonGentry and Son Plumbing recently put a new well pump in for us. They started work at 9 a.m. and finished at 12 noon even after running into an unexpected problem getting the old pump out. They explained everything to us as they proceeded with the work. Thanks to Dustin & Josh, super nice and very knowledgeable! The price was very reasonable. We will definitely recommend Gentry & Son Plumbing to our friends and family!
August 20 · Linda WilkinsI can't say enough about how much I appreciate this business, and all of the employees I've had the pleasure of dealing with. My grandparents are in their 90's and both have Alzheimer's and dementia, along with many physical issues as well. They've had some pretty extreme plumbing issues, and months ago when we first needed a plumber, nobody could get to them for weeks to even over a month. Their prices were also much higher than that of Gentry & Sons. When I was lucky enough to come across them and give them a call, explaining the situation in as much detail as I possibly could, they gave me all the details they could about what I could expect, and made sure to give me a call before they headed over to their house, so that I could have time to get there before them. The second time we needed them, this past week, was even more of an emergency. Skylar and Clay came out and not only did all they could, as efficiently as they possibly could, but they showed so much respect and kindness with my grandparents, and didn't mind my standing around along questions and trying to learn about the issues causing all the problems they were having. They were beyond helpful, and though we did end up needing to have their septic tank pumped, these guys even recommended exactly who we should use and made sure I knew what needed to be done. This second time we needed their help, they were actually able to work us in and got to my grandparents' before we'd even expected them, with another call in advance to let me know, and to make sure that it was alright for my grandparents and myself. I can't see myself using any other plumbing service in the future; I feel no need to look any further, because everyone I've had the pleasure of dealing with have been wonderful and kind, along with knowledgeable and extremely efficient and effective in their work. I really appreciate you guys; thank you for all you've done!!!
August 02 · K MAnother company tried to charge $5,000 by "fixing" things that weren’t broken. Gentry and Sons Plumbing did the actual job in under 2 hours for $250. The difference was night and day—honest, fast, and professional. Highly recommended.
July 10 · Josh NotterI’ve used Gentry & Son multiple times since 2018 and used to highly recommend them to friends, family, and clients as a Real Estate Broker. Initially, they were responsive, professional, and delivered quality work, including emergency pipe repairs and a full repipe with outdoor plumbing upgrades in 2021.Unfortunately, my most recent experience was the complete opposite. I contacted them on September 15th to have a macerating toilet and sink installed in my basement, explaining clearly that the work needed to be done before the 23rd due to a family relocation matter. An appointment was set for the 19th, and I sent detailed photos in advance to help them prepare.Despite follow-up calls to confirm they had received and reviewed the photos, there was no clear communication. The appointment was pushed to the 22nd without much explanation. Then, on the day of the appointment, I was told they could still do the work, but only at an overtime rate. This felt like a bait-and-switch tactic, and it was extremely disappointing coming from a company I had trusted for years. As someone who works in real estate, I’ve seen homeowners subjected to last-minute pricing changes under pressure, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened here. I cancelled my appointment because of this. What used to be a 5-star company for me has unfortunately fallen to 1 star due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, and questionable last-minute pricing practices. I no longer feel comfortable recommending them.
