Lewis Plumbing & Home Repair, Inc. Reviews
Difficult to rate this company. The service was very good. The Plumber knew his trade. They showed up when they said they would. The question is can you afford them? This is a newer home (four years old) with a flooded master bathroom on a Friday morning. Eighty year olds stumbling in the dark at night to the second far off bathroom for three days a problem. The first they could look at it Monday. After several calls that was going to be the best time. Lewis was at our door at exactly 8 AM, Monday. He looked at the toilet and saw a leaking supply line. He said he had one in his truck and I said replace it. He quickly did so. The one he replaced it with was braided steel, replacing a cheap plastic one so I ask if he had another to replace the same in our other bath if it was the same. He said he would check. He did and he did. He then went to the truck and made the bill. Travel to our home (less and one mile from their shop) $30. Labor $125 (labor rate $300/hour (I have Ring video times) parts $33+ I checked Amazon retail less than $12 for both. Very good service TOTAL time at property (including drive on and off) 27 minutes - total bill $188. So in my judgment three stars. Maybe send your kids to trade school not Yale.
July 31 · Bruce BrockmanWould never use Lewis again. My toilet was leaking after they reset it. The lady on the phone screwed me around for 2 weeks saying they couldn’t make it back out to fix the problem. I eventually had to fix the issue myself to prevent further damage of my newly remodeled house. The damage had already been done tho and everything was soaked.
March 17 · Tj BakerThey came out quickly to give an estimate. Let's say the work was less than adequate. So plumbing 101 of chasing the line didn't happen. Plus small water line leaks happened a day after they left & my husband had to go back & redo good portion the work that was preformed.
October 08 · Donna JonesHad used them for years. Recently had them out a few weeks ago to repair barn hydrant that they bought and installed less than 2 years ago and it’s already leaking again. Had them out for dryer install, started leaking 10 days later. They come back out change the hose and knock the drainage hose off my washer causing a flood through the ceiling into my kitchen and they can’t even return calls or send someone out to see the damage caused from their carelessness. Had to go through my homeowners for repairs. Spoke to lady in the office and she laughed it off.
May 05 · Nicole BlaserVery nice, kind and clean people. I had zero issues with the quality and skill in the way the water heater was installed. The billing on the other hand was not as professional. The tech claimed he took 4 hours at 85 per hour. The tech and his helper arrived at 10:54 am, they removed the old water heater within 35 minutes and the tech left for 15 minutes to take his help somewhere. When the tech returned he finished the install and talked with me for about 10 minutes about a furnace issue I wanted an estimate to replace. He then left at 1:03 pm.When I called to pay I was told he charged four hours. Well, it was less than two hours. I called back to pay what I owed and was told I was given a break on the hours but that I was wrong and they didn't want to argue with me. What they dont know is I have video surveillance showing exactly what I claimed. I would have rated this a 5 star, but I was basically called a lier because I told them it took less than 2 hours. They say it can not be done that fast. I have time stamp proof that it can be done. Especially when because priour to them showing up I drained the tank so they didn't have to. Dont get me wrong, they did a great job. But, I don't like having someone try and take advantage in billing then insinuate I am lying.
