Their core commitment is to the repair and maintenance of water, sewer, and gas lines, ensuring that residential and commercial properties remain safe and operational. They are particularly known for comprehensive drain cleaning and sewer services, which are vital in urban and high-use environments where drainage issues are common.
Furthermore, in a seismically active state like California, the installation of safety features such as earthquake valves is an important service offered to help protect homes from potential gas leaks during a seismic event. This specialized knowledge demonstrates an understanding of the unique safety requirements specific to the local area. They combine traditional plumbing repair skills with modern diagnostic tools, such as sewer camera inspection, to ensure accurate and efficient problem identification.
It is important for local users to note the balance of customer experiences. While many customers praise the quick response, professionalism, fair pricing, and effective resolution of issues like clogged drains, as seen in one positive review, others have expressed concerns regarding the aesthetics of completed installation work and issues with initial scope of work communication. For complex or long-duration jobs, customers are encouraged to verify the complete scope, required parts, and expected final appearance with the service team to ensure satisfaction with both function and finish.
With an operation that has spanned nearly 50 years, Gerhard Weise Plumbing brings a depth of experience to the Los Angeles plumbing market, positioning itself as a time-tested resource for dependable service.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a great experience with Gerhard weise Plumbing! I was dealing with a clogged drain and a sink that just wouldn’t drain properly. They responded quickly, showed up on time, and got straight to work. The plumber was professional, friendly, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained the issue clearly and had everything fixed in no time. Now everything’s running smoothly, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Fair pricing and great customer care — highly recommend!
July 30 · Schmitty FCalled this company out because they are only one of two companies allowed to shut off water in the complex. Took around 3 hours to complete the job. Ending result two different valves sticking, valves sticking out way too far (my plumber looked at the work), and uneven sticking out from the wall. I called the company to report issues and to unclog the kitchen sink. The sink should have been unclogged when they installed the garbage disposal (and they didn’t use all of the new parts..took a part with them) This was additional time spent in my unit. The owner came out and said, the valves do not stick out too far, are not uneven and two different valves are fine. I showed my plumber pictures of the work and he pointed out the issues before I shared them with him. This is the shabbiest work that I’ve ever had done by a plumber. I gave 2 stars because the valves work, but it doesn’t look professional. This cost me $890.00. I will be reporting to the association. I would not recommend this company.
June 03 · Yolvonne GillespieI can not say enough of how wonderful this company is! So honest. I had another company out that wanted to charge me $9,000 for work that did not need to be done. Mark and his boys came out and fixed the problem for under $800. I really appreciate the honesty.
July 30 · CaryOne of the best in the business - hard working family company and very knowledgeable. We use them for a lot of the properties we manage. Multiple occasions where others were stumped or wanted to overcharge us whether intentionally or not, Mark and his crew have always been honest and taken care of what needs to be done. Can't put a price on integrity.
March 06 · Roman ValentineBottom line, I trust nobody else for my plumbing needs. Been using Mark and his crew since my first home in West LA back in 1998, and ONLY use them since moving to the South Bay in 2003. I refer them to everyone and know that they are trustworthy, experienced and will not try to upsell me on services I don't need. Nice to not worry that I'll get overcharged and that service will be done the right way!
