Choosing a plumbing company is not just about the services they offer, but the quality of their service delivery. United Plumbing Services highlights several features that they believe set them apart as a premier choice for plumbing solutions in California. These features emphasize their commitment to professional standards and customer satisfaction, which are vital considerations for homeowners and business operators in the competitive Southern California market.
Highlights of their professional operation include:
- Expert Water Heater Specialization: They possess deep expertise in water heater installation and replacement, a major component of any property's plumbing system. This focus means they can handle complex installations, like switching to a high-capacity or tankless system, with precision.
- Full-Service Capability: The ability to handle both residential and commercial projects means they have the versatile experience and equipment required for jobs of any scale, from a small home repair to extensive commercial system maintenance.
- Commitment to Professionalism: The company is lauded by some customers for their clean, prompt, and polite service. A positive customer review highlights the crew's professionalism, cleanliness, and going the extra mile, such as strapping a water heater for safety.
- Prompt Emergency Response: A highly praised aspect is their promptness in handling stressful situations, like a major water heater failure, indicating a strong focus on minimizing customer inconvenience and providing fast relief.
- Comprehensive System Approach: The team is reported to ensure all systems are working correctly before leaving a site, demonstrating a thorough approach to problem resolution rather than just a quick fix.
When making a decision about who to hire for your home or business plumbing needs, the choice often comes down to reliability and experience. For residents of Burbank and the surrounding California regions, United Plumbing Services represents a local option with a clear focus on a broad spectrum of services. Their noted specialization in critical areas like water heater installation and replacement is a major draw. Water heaters are one of the most hardworking appliances in a property, and having a specialist manage their maintenance and installation can translate directly into energy savings and long-term reliability. The testimonial regarding the quick installation of a large 100-gallon water heater highlights their capacity for handling significant emergency jobs efficiently, a massive relief for any family suddenly without hot water.
However, potential customers should also weigh the entirety of the company's reputation. While one customer praised the highly professional and caring nature of the team, another provided a very negative account of a faulty repair, lack of warranty follow-through, and poor customer service from management. This mixed feedback suggests that, like with many service-based companies, the individual experience can vary. For those who value promptness and technical ability in major installations, the positive experiences are compelling. For customers prioritizing flawless initial workmanship and unquestionable warranty support on smaller, yet critical, repairs like valve replacements, they should inquire about the specifics of the warranty and the process for addressing defects before work commences.
Ultimately, selecting United Plumbing Services means choosing a local Burbank plumber with the capability for both everyday repairs and complex water heater emergencies. The best approach for any new customer in California is to communicate clearly about the job, request detailed quotes, and ensure all warranty terms are understood in writing, which is a best practice for hiring any contractor. Their convenient location and extensive service list make them a solid option for anyone seeking comprehensive plumbing support in the area, backed by positive reports of prompt and clean service in their area of specialization.

United Plumbing Services Reviews
One of the most professional company I’ve ever worked with. Robert was very professional handled everything himself. Took care of my issue promptly. His guys were really professional clean and did extra work by strapping my water heater and starting a pilot for me making sure everything is working before they left. I would highly recommend this company. Service is very important to me and my wife. It’s hard to find good service these days. So we were very pleasantly surprised on how to owner Robert and his crew were so clean, prompt, caring and polite during the entire process. Being with out hot water is very stressful. I could not be happier with the promptness of this company. Robert managed to get a 100 gallon water heater and have it installed in to time. I will only use this company from now on.
October 22 · Edmond AslanTERRIBLE! STAY AWAY! I had to write this review to warn others about this horrible company. I saw their company had good reviews on Yelp and hired them for a minor issue replacing the shower valves in my restroom. Their quotes for higher than other places but they assured me they will warranty their work on any workmanship defects. LIES! I had molding issues a month after they came and found out the valve was leaking! I called them to let to know, instead of trying to fix the issue. Robert the manager was RUDE, obnoxious, and lectured me like I was a kid. He refuses to do anything about it. I'm taken back and decide to stay way. I call another plumber who had to take out all my tiles and dry wall and find out the previous plumber did a shoddy job and had to fix everything he messed up on. DIRTY LIARS!
June 29 · Panerai NoviceMy experience with United Plumbing is almost more comical than bad, but I don't want saying that to make it seem like it wasn't awful. We had United Plumbing called on Wednesday to fix our linking bathtub. When we were turning off the shower, we still got a stream of water coming out. Realizing we're in a drought, and that United Plumbing perhaps considers themselves "plumbers" they agreed to come out the next morning. We agreed to pay the $60 to have them come take a look at this.Gary walked in with no tools. I showed him the leaking bathroom. He replied no problem, this was easy to fix. Great! I then walked into our other bathroom to show him our bath tub also sprayed in random directions there. He wouldn't look at it. We hadn't included it on the call for the $60. OK, hilarious, he won't even look at it, but on we go.Gary calls me back into the first bathroom and says "I can fix this, no problem, but I can't warranty it. Your schmitty plate is too small for the hole. We need to order you a new schmitty plate, shut off the water to the building and install the new schmitty plate in order to warranty the work."My initial reaction is, of course, man, probably getting screwed, but whatever, I'm in. Gary spends a few more minutes in the bathroom and comes to tell me he'll check on the parts today and give me an update on timing. We're going to have to shut off the water to the building and cut out the old Schmitty plate. He also says, don't tell the building yet, they'll have to set a date a week or two out and we'll need parts first, etc etc. This part of the project is clearly going to take a few weeks.Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine he wouldn't fix the current leak first though. I didn't even check before he left, it was so obvious the need to stop water from leaking out of bathtub faucet at a ridiculously painful rate for drought ridden California.Crazy, I know, but being "plumbers" I feel like they might be willing to fix a relative emergency leaking situation and would at least have some sense of urgency or business. Not United Plumbing Services!! We're 72 hours in and still have a stream of water coming from a bathroom and not a word from Gary or anyone at the office. Even better, try calling their "24 hour line" which sends you straight to voicemailJust totally perplexed by this, I can only give me theory here. These guys get $60 to come out from our HOA insurance. They only make money when they can bill you other things, and Gary wanted to make sure he could bill me for a new schmitty plate. He was careful to tell me multiple times that first, insurance won't cover it, and second, don't call your insurance and ask. I didn't even fight it, I'm totally fine getting a new "schmitty" plate, sounds kind of cool really. It's like I'm in the middle of the long-con by plumbers, who are so invested in conning us, they're willing to let good water literally poor down the drain. But then, the weekend came, and they forgot they were supposed to be conning us. Thankfully, I've only poured sixty bucks into their pockets for literally nothing. I wish Gary would have been honest and said I'm taking your sixty bucks and you should call a real plumber to fix your problem. At least then I wouldn't feel so terrible about waiting 72 hours to get this thing resolved.I think if you read the recent reviews around here, it's pretty clear these folks sold out to an insurance middle man. Lucky for policy holders, you don't have any choice in who you get, so I'm sure you'll be coming to Yelp just like I am. Hopefully you read this first and save yourself $60 and taking a few hours off work.
May 07 · Jeremy SchwartzI just had United plumbing heating air electrical out to my house to troubleshoot a faulty switch to my bedroom ceiling fan. The technician, Jonathan Mosales, was very professional and took the time to explain what the problem was and how he was going to fix it. I was impressed with the quality of their work and how quick they were able to come to the house. I would use them again.
October 27 · christopher salvatoriSo I scheduled at appt for work on a condo shared line for tomorrow. I'm on the bottom of a two story condo and I get all of the flooding on a shared line. I made the appt on Tuesday based on a message from United's receptionist that the work was my responsibility after Robert came to look at the issue a week and a half ago. Then two days after I made the appt, I was told by the Property Manager that it could be an HOA issue so submit a work scope first, so they can review it before I pay for it in case the HOA may cover it. In addition the upstairs owner told me he didn't agree to me doing any shared line work and to have it voted on first. I called to cancel the appt a day before they were to come out which is when I got all of this back from everyone. I spoke with Robert to ask him if he could submit work scope or order to me or the property manager. I'm paraphrasing, but as I was trying to explain to him what I was told, he kept interrupting me in the most condescending way possible, shouting, "next., next, next, next!!" When I tried through the interruptions to ask about the order, he said he's not going to write @$%& for me. He had to reschedule all of his crew around because of the cancellation. He's not some school teacher (which I am). He's running a company and I f'ed up his schedule and then told me not to call him back. On my end, just a lot of errs and oks. This was my first time speaking with him since he came out a week and a half earlier. The review is not for any work, since it didn't get that far. On my end, I should have confirmed with the property manager before making the appointment. He had come out over a week before to evaluate and I may have been mistakenly under the impression he communicated with them since then. After I notified the property manager, I started getting feedback about pursuing it through the HOA to let them vote (I've been told for years it was my responsibility, but whatever), so like I said, I should have straightened it out with them first before making the appointment. I get his frustration about being inconvenienced. This review is because his frustration became personal with the way he shut me down during the call, made small what I did for a living for some weird reason, and then hanging up on me. No one should have to be talked to the way I just was.
