June 18 · Justin CroteauI made the call that evening and Thatcher & Son was out to my home the next morning at 8am. He was able to explain the issue and showed me the roots after snaking the drain. He also gave me a tip to use Foaming Root Killer in my drain yearly to prevent this from happening again. Very courteous and friendly.
June 10 · April RebeiroI hired Thatcher and Sons to replace some rusted cast iron pipes that had been leaking, along with the toilet flange, in my home. While the plumbing work itself was done well, my experience quickly turned negative due to the lack of attention to detail and poor customer service. After the job was completed, I noticed that the old, dirty pipes and debris were left behind in my crawlspace. This was particularly frustrating since the crawlspace had been previously encapsulated at great cost to keep it clean and insulated. It was disappointing to find that the debris was left behind and not removed.I called Thatcher and Sons to address the issue, and they assured me they would come to clean up the mess. However, after several attempts and promises, they have been a no-show. Despite my repeated calls, no one has shown up to resolve the situation.Overall, while the plumbing work was fine, the lack of professionalism in leaving the crawlspace in a dirty state, combined with the failure to follow through on cleaning up, has left me extremely dissatisfied. I expected better customer service and attention to detail.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Thatcher and Sons based on my experience, and I will be looking elsewhere for future plumbing needs.
January 03 · Justin MarkRip-off. Looking for a quick buck. Fake reviews. No mortar under my tub installation I paid for. Overcharged, poor job. The only time they responded was when I threatened to do a credit card dispute. Thatcher and Son never completed the job despite my repeated requests and somehow my pictures were removed. No support underneath the tub was off the ground and my shower head was off center about 2" I paid for installation. They did not level my tub or secure it and used the framing from the box it was shipped in. I could wave 3 paint sticks underneath the casing feet and I can feel it buckling under my feet when I shower that's when I started investigating underneath the tub. There were multiple water leaks even though they were supposed to install the fixtures they wouldn't answer my calls. Other contractors didn't want to touch it because there was leaks in the plumbing work. If you didn't want to drive that far or complete the job you shouldn't have accepted it. Be a person of your word and of integrity. I had to hire somebody else to put something under the tub so it cost me more money in which I was never reimbursed by them. I couldn't rip it out and redo it without huge costs. And I was unable to use my shower bath for months because I was unable to find anybody that was willing to do the work under the tub after it was installed or partially installed should I say. The original day of installation I had the owner and an older gentleman and a younger guy three of them. I thought that they were going to do the job right but unfortunately they proved me wrong. I guess you could call that deceptive you determine for yourself. They told me the job would take 3 to 3 and 1/2 hours I ran up to the Tim Hortons to use the restroom. I got a call from them an hour and 15 minutes into it....they said where in the van should we lock up. I said oh no I went back to the condo 2 minutes later a big mess in my bathroom. I didn't know quite to look for that's why I didn't know underneath the tub in the hole in the back of my closet would show me with a flashlight that there was no support underneath my tub they slapped it in there and they left.
June 28 · R JonesHaving an emergency is not ideal but Jon came out as soon as he could (about 4- 5 hours after my call). Needed a new meter nipple. He got it fixed fairly quick and no leaks. I would recommend Thatcher to anyone and everyone. I appreciate the professionalism and quick work to get me back up and running.
