EPH Service Co Introduce
For homeowners and businesses in Macomb, IL, and the wider Western Illinois region, managing the integrity of essential property systems—Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and Electrical—often requires a versatile, experienced contractor. EPH Service Co, based right in Macomb, fills this crucial role by providing a comprehensive range of critical repair and installation services. Their classification as a Plumber, Air conditioning contractor, Electrician, Heating contractor, and HVAC contractor means they are equipped to address virtually any major system failure with a single professional team.
The core philosophy of EPH Service Co centers on providing essential "Repair services," making them the go-to experts for urgent and non-urgent problems that threaten the comfort and safety of a property. This wide scope is particularly valuable in rural-centric areas like Macomb, where specialized single-trade contractors may not be as readily available. From a complex plumbing pipe repair and plumbing leak detection to water heater installation and air conditioning repair, EPH Service Co aims to be the single point of contact for diverse technical needs. They also facilitate payments by accepting Credit cards, adding a layer of convenience for Illinois users facing unexpected repair costs.
It is important for local users to note that the experience with a multi-trade contractor can sometimes be variable, as reflected in customer feedback. While one reviewer highly praised the company for saving them thousands on a main line replacement, demonstrating professionalism, honesty, and thorough cleanup, another user detailed significant communication issues, delayed repairs, and follow-up failures after a large sewer pipe replacement. This highlights the importance of open communication and clearly establishing service timelines with any busy local contractor.
EPH Service Co is located at 4043 W Jackson St, Macomb, IL 61455, USA. This address places them on a major thoroughfare, ensuring easy access to Macomb's residential and commercial districts, as well as the surrounding communities in McDonough and neighboring counties.
For Illinois users, choosing a local contractor with a physical presence, such as EPH Service Co in the 61455 zip code, is key to receiving timely service. The ability for technicians to travel quickly across the Western Illinois area is vital for all their service types—especially during extreme weather when heating or air conditioning repair is critical, or when a plumbing emergency requires immediate attention. Their location serves as a centralized dispatch point for their multi-disciplinary service teams. The standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though the nature of their work as a full-spectrum service provider suggests they handle emergencies outside of these times, which is customary in the industry.
The strength of EPH Service Co lies in its ability to offer an extensive range of specialized services under one banner, categorized by their contractor types:
- **Plumbing Services:** Includes expert Plumbing leak detection, essential Plumbing pipe repair, general Plumbing Contractor services, and comprehensive Septic Services (including pumping and repair).
- **Heating Contractor Services:** Specializing in Water Heater Installation, as well as general repairs and servicing for furnace and boiler systems critical for Illinois winters.
- **Air Conditioning Contractor Services:** Focuses on Air Conditioning Repair, addressing failures in central air systems and units during the hot summer months.
- **Electrician Services:** Provides essential Electric Services, which can include repairs to wiring, panel upgrades, and ensuring all new HVAC and plumbing installations meet electrical code requirements.
- **Multi-Trade Repair Services:** General repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance for complex systems that often require skills from more than one trade, such as a water heater replacement needing both plumbing and electrical work.
EPH Service Co stands out in the Macomb, IL area due to its wide-ranging capabilities and the critical customer feedback they have received:
- **Full-Spectrum Service Provider:** Being qualified as a Plumber, HVAC, and Electrical contractor offers unparalleled convenience and efficiency for property maintenance.
- **Plumbing Cost Savings Potential:** As evidenced by a positive review, the company has a track record of providing accurate, cost-saving diagnoses, preventing unnecessary, expensive main line replacements.
- **Specialized Technical Offerings:** Provides specific services like Plumbing leak detection, Septic Services, and dedicated Water Heater Installation, which are essential for property owners in the region.
- **Convenient Payment Options:** Acceptance of Credit cards simplifies the payment process for both planned services and unexpected emergency repairs.
- **Commitment to Professionalism (Evidenced by Positive Feedback):** One customer highlighted their team’s honesty, taking responsibility for damage, and performing a thorough cleanup after a messy job, showcasing a strong sense of accountability.
For customers in Macomb and Western Illinois, EPH Service Co offers a compelling value proposition: the ability to handle multiple home system needs—from a backed-up septic system to a broken air conditioner—with a single call. In a regional setting, this multi-trade capability simplifies complex maintenance and emergency response significantly.
However, potential users should approach EPH Service Co with clear expectations and communication. While their capacity for large-scale, complex repairs is excellent, as noted by the user who saved thousands, the contrasting experience with follow-up and communication requires customers to be diligent. It is recommended that customers confirm service timelines, receive detailed quotes, and ensure follow-up procedures are clearly established when booking services. Ultimately, the company's full-service, local expertise, evidenced by highly skilled repair work in multiple trades and their ability to successfully execute complex sewer line repairs, makes them a crucial resource in the 61455 area. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Couldn't recommend these guys enough. Had another outfit quote me $9400 to replace the main line. Turns out, the pipes are connecting both toilets and need the pipes replaced. Saved me thousands AND cleaned up afterward. Professional, took responsibility for breaking one of my toilets by admission and replacement. They created a mess in my home while fixing the clog and chose to clean it up instead of leaving it for me! They also informed me about the water in my crawlspace that others had not. Great customer service!
May 29 · Brittany SieffermanI was recommended EPH for a plumbing issue so I called them, on first visit they came out and diagnosed the issue. Offered me a solution which I agreed with and they said they could come out the same day and get it done. This didn't happen. They told me one date which they then pushed back further, so over 2 weeks after the initial visit they came out and did the repair. They replaced a large section of cast-iron sewer pipes in my basement. Initially, everything seemed ok but after a couple weeks, the same issue we called about started again (leaking through our kitchen ceiling after the upstairs toilet became blocked), and also an additional sewage smell from the downstairs toilet.I called them about it, I was told they would call me back. Nothing. So I called them again and they were 'not sure why a sewage smell would be coming from the toilet'. In regard to the leaking issue, they again said they would call me back. To this day they have yet to call me back and I am done having to follow up with them.I re-seated the downstairs toilet and the smell is now gone, the upstairs toilet wasn't even secured (bolts were left loose), they left quite a mess in the basement too. They basically took the money and ran, almost $3000, of which $2100 was labor and I honestly believe they over-charged for that. They were not at my property for that amount of time.I would not recommend this company, not reliable and certainly don't seem to have any sense of customer service.
October 15 · F “Fizzy002” IWatch your final bill when you get it. I was over charges by $20. It was called a finance charge for being late. I was only sent one bill and paid it 3 days later. Called to complain after I noticed it but John, who was extremely rude said no can do. Will never do business with them again. I'll go to Hollister Co. I will always give a bad review to anyone who asks. So much for being a religious company. That being said, Travis, the other worked-owner was a real nice guy. I even gave him $20 for his girl's basketball team pizza party.
December 06 · Ronald ReinkeAfter our water heater failed and dumped over 50 gallons of water all over our basement, they came the same day and took care of us. They came back the next day to install a new water heater and the guys were very nice and did a great job. Definitely recommend!
March 03 · Courtney SutherlandJohn was here to help take care of a well issue. He and another employee were here less than an hour. We were told by John that our bill wouldn’t be close to $900 and they would bill us. We received a bill for over $800 with a $500 dollar labor charge. When I called and spoke with Travis his reason for the high labor charge was they had to “prepare” the tuck and we were charged labor the minute they started loading their truck to come to our home which is a 15 min drive. Travis was rude and stated he doesn’t care about reviews and he has plenty of other customers . I wouldn’t recommend them for anyone or any job due to their outrageous labor charge. Travis is extremely rude and doesn’t need any more customers according to him so I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
