Crow River Plumbing & Heating Introduce
For homeowners and businesses in the greater Howard Lake area of Minnesota, having a reliable local partner for essential services like plumbing and heating is non-negotiable, especially when facing the state’s famously harsh winters or humid summers. Crow River Plumbing & Heating, LLC, is a local company based in Howard Lake, MN, dedicated to helping the community maintain comfortable and functional properties. Their services span essential home systems, ensuring residents have access to both emergency repairs and planned installations to keep their homes running smoothly year-round. Given their deep local roots, having been established since 1991, they possess a valuable understanding of the unique challenges that Minnesota properties face, from hard water issues to the necessity of a robust heating system.
Choosing a local service provider means selecting a company that is often more attuned to specific regional issues. In Minnesota, this is particularly important for addressing common plumbing problems like frozen and burst pipes during winter months, or the wear-and-tear caused by hard water and its resulting mineral buildup in pipes and water heaters. Furthermore, as the city of Howard Lake has pointed out, residents are responsible for the sewer line that runs from their home to the city easement, and issues such as tree root intrusion are common problems for these lines. A local contractor like Crow River Plumbing & Heating is experienced with these area-specific issues, offering repair services and new installations to combat these persistent challenges.
Crow River Plumbing & Heating has reportedly been a fixture in the local Howard Lake community for decades, offering services across several critical areas of home and commercial maintenance. The core of their business is focused on repair services and a range of installations related to plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems. Since their founding in 1991, they have aimed to provide tailored solutions, understanding that a one-size-fits-all approach rarely works for complex property systems.
The company maintains a physical base of operations right in Howard Lake, which facilitates prompt local service calls, though their exact service radius into the surrounding Wright County and beyond is best confirmed by calling them directly. Being located outside of the major Twin Cities metro area means they are ideally positioned to serve the smaller, close-knit communities of central Minnesota. This proximity is a major benefit for local residents who need a quick response to a burst pipe in the middle of a cold snap or an unexpected heating system failure. When searching for local service, Minnesota homeowners want professionals who are close by and understand the urgent nature of these repairs.
In addition to their work as Plumbers, Crow River Plumbing & Heating also lists their expertise as Air Conditioning Contractors and Heating Contractors. This comprehensive offering means they can be a single point of contact for nearly all of a home's critical environmental and water management systems. The combined expertise across these trades is particularly valuable in a climate that demands both reliable heat and effective cooling across the seasons. This dual specialty allows them to handle the complex systems involved in modern residential and light commercial buildings.
The company is noted to be licensed by the state and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, indicating they meet professional standards for service delivery, even though their primary operational base is in Howard Lake. Furthermore, they have stated that they do not charge for estimates and implement a trip fee and hourly rate, providing a clear structure for potential clients considering their services for general maintenance or larger repair projects. Understanding these costs upfront is a key factor for customers making decisions about whom to hire for essential home services.
Beyond the professional licenses and stated pricing, Crow River Plumbing & Heating appears to focus on ensuring customer satisfaction with a stated goal of being very customer-oriented. While some customer experiences highlight professional work and an A+ customer service approach to figure out a timely solution, other reports note significant concerns, including issues with work quality that required a callback and a lack of cleanup after a job, which led to property damage and a poor interaction with the front office. These varied public reports suggest that prospective clients may want to specifically inquire about cleanup protocols and warranties on work performed before proceeding with a job.
Common plumbing and heating issues in the Howard Lake area often revolve around the older age of many homes in the region and the extreme weather. Older homes frequently face issues such as corrosion in outdated galvanized steel or cast iron pipes, persistent clogs from sediment buildup, and low water pressure. Furthermore, sewer line problems are frequently attributed to tree root intrusion, which is a constant issue in established neighborhoods. Heating systems, from furnaces to boilers, must also be robust to handle the sustained cold, making professional installation, repair, and annual maintenance crucial. Crow River Plumbing & Heating is locally positioned to address all of these typical Minnesota home comfort challenges.
If you are a resident in or around Howard Lake seeking a local company for your plumbing and heating needs, reaching out to a company with decades of history in the area can provide a sense of local accountability. Their long-standing presence since 1991 speaks to a sustained operation within the community. For specific projects, it is always recommended that customers communicate their needs and expectations clearly, especially regarding site cleanup and warranty coverage, to ensure a smooth and satisfactory service experience.

Crow River Plumbing & Heating Reviews
The reason I called them back was because of their faulty work to begin with. Luckily I had a unfinished basement or a lot would have be ruined. Pictures below of the mess that they left after doing their work. Ruined our brand new bathroom rug, dirt all over our new floors, and left a huge mess in our entry way. Who leaves a home like this? I called to inquire about it, and the phone receptionist Kathy was short, defensive, and showed little willingness to help. Incredibly unprofessional. I'm shocked organizations like this are in business.
