A K Pipe Lining Introduce
For homeowners and business owners across Western Pennsylvania facing persistent plumbing or drainage issues, finding a reliable, effective, and minimally invasive solution is a top priority. Traditional pipe repair often involves extensive, costly excavation, tearing up yards, driveways, or interior flooring. This is where modern, specialized plumbing services like those offered by A K Pipe Lining in Murrysville, PA, step in to provide advanced alternatives.
A K Pipe Lining is a specialized plumbing contractor whose core expertise lies in trenchless sewer and pipe repair, with a particular focus on pipe lining technology. This specialization means they are equipped to handle complex drainage and sewer system problems for both commercial and residential clients throughout the region. Unlike general plumbers, this company has honed its services around sophisticated, no-dig repair methods that are designed to save customers time, money, and the headache of extensive property restoration.
The company positions itself as a provider of top-notch sewer, drain, and pipe lining services, utilizing techniques that create a new, durable “pipe within a pipe” to restore the integrity of damaged lines. Their staff is noted to have over two decades of combined experience in the pipelining industry, bringing a deep level of expertise to every project. This focus on long-term repair solutions, particularly trenchless methods, makes them a key resource for addressing issues like compromised sewer lines, recurring clogs, and old, deteriorating drainage systems common across Pennsylvania’s established neighborhoods.
Trenchless pipe lining, often referred to as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, is the cornerstone of their offerings. This technology involves inserting a flexible, resin-saturated liner into the damaged pipe through a small access point. The liner is then cured in place, typically using hot water, steam, or UV light, to harden and form a smooth, seamless, and structurally sound new pipe within the old one. The result is a fully rehabilitated pipe that can be stronger and more corrosion-resistant than the original, all without the need for destructive excavation.
A K Pipe Lining specifically employs a true pull-in-place liner system, which they market as being more versatile than other trenchless systems. This method allows them to install liners with less access space, often utilizing existing clean-outs, toilet flanges, or simply open pipes. Crucially, they also state their capability to line vertical stacks, which is a key advantage in multi-story commercial or residential buildings where traditional repairs would necessitate tearing out walls and floors on multiple levels.
As a specialized repair service, A K Pipe Lining concentrates on solving recurring and structural pipe problems rather than general plumbing fixtures or immediate plumbing emergencies. For instance, according to available information, the company does not offer emergency services, which further solidifies their position as experts in planned, long-term pipe rehabilitation projects rather than quick-fix repairs.
When considering any specialized service, it is helpful for local Pennsylvanian customers to understand the company's background and reputation. The business, a Corporation, has been operating since June 1, 2013, and their BBB file opened on March 1, 2017. Their business profile with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Western Pennsylvania notes an A+ rating, suggesting a commitment to resolving customer concerns and maintaining strong ethical business practices, according to the BBB's grading criteria.
However, it is always recommended for consumers to research a variety of sources. Customer experiences, as reflected in online reviews, sometimes show a varied outcome. One customer noted a professional experience with a sewer inspection but found the price point high on subsequent visits that did not include a video recording. Another detailed an unsatisfactory experience with a repair that failed to solve a water backup problem, leading them to seek out a different specialist for a better result. These varied accounts underscore the importance of clear communication regarding the scope of work, expected outcomes, and pricing before commencing any specialized pipe repair project.
The company’s local experience is a significant factor in their offerings. Being familiar with the drain pipes and sewer lines specific to neighborhoods in Murrysville, Pittsburgh, and the broader Western PA region allows their staff to execute necessary inspections, repairs, and cleaning services efficiently. This regional knowledge is invaluable for addressing issues related to older infrastructure and specific soil or drainage conditions prevalent in the area.
The decision to choose a specialized trenchless company like A K Pipe Lining often comes down to weighing the costs and disruptions of excavation versus the premium, non-invasive nature of CIPP technology. For properties where preserving landscaping, sidewalks, or building interiors is critical, trenchless lining remains a compelling and high-value option. This method provides a durable, smooth interior surface that can improve flow and resist future root intrusion, offering a long-term solution that extends the life of the entire pipe system for decades.
A K Pipe Lining’s commitment to sophisticated, non-invasive repair solutions places them at the forefront of pipe rehabilitation in the Murrysville, PA, and surrounding Pittsburgh areas. For anyone experiencing persistent sewer or drain problems, exploring the trenchless option with a specialist like this is a prudent step toward a lasting and less disruptive fix.

Choosing a specialized company like A K Pipe Lining is a decision to prioritize minimally invasive, durable pipe repair. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had AK Pipe Lining to make a repair to a pipe in my backyard that was clogged with debris. Gary and his team assured me that the clogged pipe was the reason for the backup of water not going draining properly. They told me they were 100% sure that this repair made for a cost of $1500 would solve my water issues. Well, it didn't work and they left my yard without even packing down the dirt and grass properly where they dug up to install the new part of the pipe. When I called them to say that the water was still not going down the pipe and still backing up in front of my driveway and at the end of my my yard they agreed to come back and take another look. They then offered me a new plan that would cost another $5000. Save your money and go to a true drain specialist like I did. Call The Pittsburgh Drain Guys. They came to my home, acted professionally, gave me an estimate, and did the work to correct my water issue. They even replaced the grass and reseeded the lawn where the entire pipe was installed from the front of my home to the back of my property as well as installing a catch basin. The price from the Pittsburgh Drain Guys was considerably less money then AK Pipe Lining and the work was done correctly. We have had several downpours recently and I'm so happy that my water issue is over and I no longer have to worry.
August 13 · Shelly ZI've had a varied experience with AK. I've used them for 3 sewer inspections. The first one was less than $200 (I think $175) and they provided digital video of the inspection. The last two times they charged $300 per inspection and didn't provide video. Additionally, one of the inspections was a failure in that they didn't make it around the bend in the trap. At the first price, I thought it was a great value and service. I will shop around next time due to the high price point.
January 14 · Craig StandleyWe had A K pipe line work on our sewage system in our backyard. We needed a pipe replaced. After the job was finished, one of the workers had advised us that they will leave their equipment on our backyard and will be back to pick it up as well as level off the ground and clean up after themselves. Unfortunately, after the equipment was picked up, the area where they had dug was left as a mess and nothing was leveled off as they had told us. They had spread dirt in different directions where it wasn't even dug making our backyard a huge mess with dirt everywhere including our driveway. Also they drove over the dirt with a their equipment and impacted the dirt into the ground. This must of been their way of "leveling off" . I have to say the overall job that was done and the huge price we had to pay, i wouldn't recommend this company. To pay a company close to $4 grand, i would expect a better service and not have to expect my husband to spend a days shoveling the dirt and making the backyard look presentable. I wouldn't be using this company again.
May 23 · Irina MishkovI contacted Gary from A.K when it became clear we were not going to be able to handle digging up the sewer lines at the Hotel in house .. He came and visited the property and assesed the situation in a professional manor and gave us a honest and complete quote for the repair costs. He left nothing out there were no surprises we knew upfront how his team were prepared to handle the lining process .The team he brought in were curtious and well mannered. I Have used him for other projects we experienced and will continue to do so .. BEST IN THE BUSINESS
November 12 · Joseph CarbisieroWe were so happy with the work that AK Pipelining completed on our sewer line! We called them when we noticed issues at our house with the drains, they diagnosed and completed the work within 2 days! To say their work was impeccable is too loose of a term! We would not only use them again, but we'd refer them to friends, family, and anyone who reads this review! THANK YOU, AK!
